I am honoured and delighted to participate in the USA National Prayer Breakfast held at the Hilton Washington Hotel, where President Donald Trump delivered remarks at the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. The event took place on February 4-5, 2026, drawing leaders from over 120 countries and featuring President Trump alongside top US government officials, bipartisan Members of Congress, the Senate, business leaders, and distinguished religious figures who gathered to learn the Jesus Model of Servant Leadership and pray for the nation.

The Tanzanian delegation was represented by the Chair of the Tanzania National Prayer Breakfast and Patron of KLNT, Hon. Frederick Sumaye, who is also former Prime Minister of Tanzania; Ambassador Lazaro Nyarando, Presidential Advisor on Diplomatic Affairs; Hon. Jackson Kiswaga, MP, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee and Deputy Chair of NPB Tanzania; and Hon. Anna Lupembe, MP and Chair of the Tanzania Parliamentary Fellowship, together with the Tanzanian Ambassador to the USA, Else Kanza.

A high-level strategic collaboration meeting was held in Washington, D.C., USA, featuring key representatives from the Government of Tanzania, KLNT, and Pepperdine University, California. The President and Vice President of Pepperdine University represented their institution. In contrast, KLNT was represented by our Patron, Hon. Frederick Sumaye, and Isaac Mpatwa, a Pepperdine PhD Candidate in Global Leadership & Change and KLNT Chairman, and also the Convener and Project Research Lead for Justice Reforms. The Government of Tanzania was represented by Ambassador Lazaro Nyarandu, Senior Advisor to President Ikulu, and Hon. Jackson Kiswaga, Chair of the Parliament Committee representing the Speaker of Parliament.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania, Hon. M***a Azzan Zungu, held a meeting with the KLNT team led by the former Prime Minister of Tanzania, Hon. Frederick Sumaye, who is also the KLNT Patron and Co-Chair of the Tanzania National Prayer Breakfast. Hon. Sumaye was accompanied by KLNT Executive Secretary, Dr. Joe Mwijage Bishota, Shalom Erasto, KLNT Chief of Staff, and Nesia Mahenge, KLNT Protocol & Governance Advisor.
