Je, unajua kuwa takribani 85% ya bajeti ya ulinzi wa watoto nchini inategemea wafadhili wa nje? 😮

TGNP imeshirikiana na wadau wa maendeleo jijini Dodoma kuwakumbusha Wabunge na Serikali kuwa wakati umefika wa kuongeza uwekezaji wa ndani katika Bajeti yenye Mrengo wa Kijinsia (GRB).

Wabunge kupitia Kamati za PAC na LAAC wameahidi kusimamia hili ili kuhakikisha:
✅ Wizara zote zinatenga bajeti ya ulinzi wa mtoto.
✅ Fedha zilizopangwa zinatolewa kwa wakati.
✅ Halmashauri zinaimarisha mifumo ya ulinzi wa watoto shuleni na nyumbani.

Transforming Communities: TGNP’s Journey in Kilimanjaro and Iringa 🇹🇿

Change happens when we move from dialogue to decisive action. Recently, TGNP concluded a week of intensive community leadership training across Moshi DC, Mwanga, and Kalenga.

By engaging Faith-Based Organizations, traditional leaders, and LGAs, we are strengthening the link between the people and protection services like gender desks and paralegals.

Real Impact in Mgagao Ward:

Breaking the Silence: Students are now reporting cases of child mutilation and early marriage, leading to a significant drop in harmful practices.

Restoring Dignity: Our Knowledge Centres successfully intervened in cases of domestic abuse, ensuring women keep their homes and their rights.

The Challenges Ahead:
The fight isn't over. We are calling for an end to "informal settlements" of GBV cases and pushing for stronger village by-laws to protect our youth.

📊 How gender-responsive are our district budgets?

From 27th April – 1st May, TGNP trained Knowledge Centre members and LGA representatives in Mwanga and Moshi District Councils to analyze the 2025/2026 budgets through a gender lens.

What we assessed:
🔹 Resource Allocation for Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
🔹 Women’s leadership funding
🔹 Climate & environmental justice
🔹 Cross-cutting priorities for marginalized women

We also reviewed progress from 2024/2025 budgets and developed action plans to ensure marginalized women’s voices are heard in the next budget cycle.

Tathmini, Mafanikio na Maboresho 📈✨

Hivi karibuni, TGNP imehitimisha mkutano wa siku mbili wa wadau katika Wilaya ya Babati, mkoani Manyara, ikiadhimisha miaka 5 ya utekelezaji wa Mradi wa RWCC, na kupanga ukelezaji wa Mradi RWCC kwa mwaka wa soxgs. Tukiwa na washiriki 56, tulitathmini hatua tulizopiga katika:

✅ Kuchochea Kilimo Ikolojia 🌽
✅ Kuimarisha Uongozi wa Wanawake 👑
✅ Kupambana na Ukatili wa Kijinsia (GBV) 🧡

Mambo muhimu tuliyojifunza:
1️⃣ Kuanza Mapema: Maandalizi kwa ajili ya wanawake kugombea nafasi mbalimbali za uongozi kuelekea uchaguzi wa 2029/30 yanaanza leo. Kazi ianze sasa!

2️⃣ Ubunifu wa Kipato: Kituo cha Maarifa (KC) cha Mamire kimekuja na wazo bunifu la kuanzisha hoteli ya chakula cha asili ili kutumia fursa za utalii! 🍲

Uendelevu ndio lengo letu. Ubunifu ndio nyenzo yetu. Utekelezaji wa Mpangokazi wa Mwaka 6 unaanza sasa!

Wanaume Wapaza Sauti Kutokomeza Ukatili wa Kijinsia Iringa, Mwanga, na Moshi! 🌍💪

Mtandao wa Jinsia Tanzania (TGNP), kupitia mradi wa “Kuvunja Vikwazo: Kupambana na Ukatili wa Kijinsia,” hivi karibuni umeendesha mfululizo wa midahalo mizito iliyowahusisha wanaume pekee katika Kata za Kalenga (Iringa), Mgagao (Mwanga), na Mabogini (Moshi).

Kwa nini tuwashirikishe wanaume?

Wakati takwimu zikionyesha kuwa wanawake na watoto ndio waathirika wakuu wa ukatili wa kijinsia, mara nyingi wanaume wamekuwa wakitajwa k**a wahusika. Midahalo hii ililenga kuwabadilisha wanaume kutoka kuwa sehemu ya tatizo na kuwa kiini cha suluhisho.

Hatua Kubwa Iliyofikiwa: Viongozi wa dini, wazee wa mila, waendesha bodaboda, na viongozi wa serikali za mitaa walikutana kwa pamoja kupinga mila potofu na mifumo ya malezi yenye upendeleo inayochochea ukatili.

Azimio la Wanaume:

Kutoa Taarifa: Kutoka kuwa watazamaji na kuwa mstari wa mbele kuripoti vitendo vya ukatili.

Kuwa Mifano Bora: Kuongoza kwa mfano na upendo ndani ya familia zao.

Uchochezi wa Mabadiliko: Kuzitaka Halmashauri kuimarisha k**ati za MTAKUWWA na kuwezesha Madawati ya Jinsia ili haki ipatikane kwa wakati.

From 14th to 24th April, TGNP is proud to facilitate five incredible women farmers from Morogoro, Gairo, Mwanga, Same and Manyara to participate in an ongoing Seed Boot Camp in Nakuru, Gilgil County, Kenya.

Organized by Seed Savers Network, this dynamic engagement brings together seeds practitioners and advocates to learn, share experiences, and deepen understanding of seed security and seed sovereignty, particularly the protection and promotion of indigenous seeds. These seeds are not only vital for food systems, but also carry cultural heritage, resilience, and community autonomy.

As the training continues, the participants are exploring the importance of preserving local seed systems, reducing dependency on external inputs, and strengthening farmers’ control over their food production.

At the heart of these discussions is agroecology, an approach that works with nature, enhances biodiversity, and empowers communities to build sustainable and self-reliant food systems.

The budget is changing. The future is equal.

In Day 3 and 4 of the GRB Validation Workshop, where 9 pilot Ministries are turning 15 years of advocacy into action. For the first time, Tanzania is institutionalizing Gender Budgeting Statements.

Why it matters:
✅ Direct alignment with "Dira 2050"
✅ Mandatory quarterly performance monitoring
✅ Budgets that actually reflect the needs of all citizens

As Hon. Felister Peter Mdemu emphasized, this is about results, not just words. We are tracking progress every 3 months to ensure no one is left behind.

Budgeting for Equality! 💰✨

The journey to a more inclusive Tanzania continues in Morogoro! From April 14th–17th, we are joined by the National Audit Office (NAOT), key Ministries, and LGAs for a high-level validation workshop on Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB).

The Goal is to turn the 2026/27 Budget Guidelines into action. By using new Gender Budget Statement tools, we ensure that every shilling spent helps reduce gender inequality and supports our Vision 2050 ambitions.

Shout out to UN Women Tanzania, TGNP and the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups for leading the charge. 🤝
