Today, on World Children’s Day, we honor every child in Tanzania especially those who face the risk of invisibility: children without nationality, children without documentation, and children who have been forcibly displaced from their homes.

At DIGNITY Kwanza we believe that every child deserves identity, protection, and belonging. No child should begin life already excluded from rights, services, and opportunities simply because of their circumstances of birth or displacement.

To every child in Tanzania, your identity is your gateway to safety, dignity, and opportunity. You deserve a future where your dreams are not limited by paperwork or borders.

On World Children’s Day, DIGNITY Kwanza reaffirm our commitment to ending childhood statelessness and protecting forcibly displaced children. Together, we can build a Tanzania where every child without exception is recognized, protected, and given the chance to thrive.

Proud to participate in the Continental Consultation on the Model Law on the Right to Nationality and the Eradication of Statelessness. Together, we move closer to ensuring that no one in Africa is left without a nationality.

The meeting focuses on discussing the key provisions of the Model Law on the Right to Nationality and invites recommendations for its improvement. 

This consultation also aims to strengthen networks and partnerships among African Union organs, regional parliaments, civil society organizations, legal experts, and international organizations engaged in nationality and statelessness issues.

Posted • The Tanzania Refugee and Migration Network (TAREMINET) Secretariat has been actively promoting the localization agenda in collaboration with the Executive Committee to strengthen the protection space in Tanzania. In the face of funding cuts and the departure of some partners, we are exploring new opportunities to engage local actors in the humanitarian sector. Recent meetings have highlighted the need to convene a member forum including directors and technical staff to develop strategies for addressing key risks and challenges.
