Strengthening Collaboration for a Just Energy Transition in Tanzania
WATED is honored to be participating in the five-day Repower Tanzania Strategy Workshop currently taking place at Giraffe Hotel, Dar es Salaam. The workshop brings together civil society organizations, climate justice advocates, researchers, media practitioners, community leaders, and renewable energy experts to collectively shape a people-centered and sustainable energy future for Tanzania.
Through dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaborative planning, participants are exploring practical pathways to advance accessible, affordable, reliable, and decentralized renewable energy solutions that strengthen climate resilience, promote energy justice, and improve community livelihoods.
The discussions continue to highlight the strong connection between energy access, human rights, gender equality, health, agriculture, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Climate Hub Tanzania, 350 Africa, Green Conservers, and all organizing partners for convening this important platform and fostering meaningful collaboration among stakeholders committed to advancing a just and inclusive energy transition.
Together, we are building stronger partnerships and a shared vision for community-led renewable energy solutions across Tanzania.
