is essential because organic waste makes up the largest portion of waste generated in most cities. When this waste is dumped in or open dumpsites, it decomposes without oxygen and releases , a greenhouse gas far more powerful than carbon dioxide.

changes this process by allowing organic materials such as food scraps, market waste, and yard waste to decompose in a controlled way, producing nutrient-rich compost instead of pollution.

In a system, organic waste is separated at source, collected properly, and returned back to the through . This closes the loop between consumption, waste, and food production.

Organic waste is often seen as a problem, but it holds the potential to transform our food systems. What if waste is the beginning of something new?

According to reports, there is a substantial amount of organic municipal solid waste since the organic fraction ranges from 50 to 70% with less than 2-5% being currently composted. Municipal organic waste available for composting amounts to 3-4 million tonnes per year. That means most of what we throw away can return to the soil.

Mustakabali safi unaanzia namna tunavyoshirikiana nao leo......
