Hello all,
We know that 2020 has been a difficult year in so many ways. For ACA Initiative as well. Our organization just found out that we will NOT be receiving funding that we were counting on for 2021. We are heartbroken.
If you are looking for any end of the year donations to make, we are a 501(c)(3) organization. We are a small organization that feeds 850 children every day when the come to school. We operate in a remote part of Tanzania - Rufiji - and we are the only group operating in the region. Since we implemented the program in 2017, the students testing has improved by over 50% and graduation rates have soared. The first year only 7 out of 30 students graduated. The last two years we have helped achieve 100% graduation rates! The program works, but we do not have money to fund it. Our annual budget is around $13,000 and we have zero employees and no administration fees. Everything is done via volunteer and donation. Any money donated to ACA Initiative goes directly to the children. With our current funding, we will be unable to continue our program past January of 2021. Every little bit helps!
