The Global Media Defence Fund's ongoing thematic call for partnerships is due to close on 18 October 2024 (23:59 GMT +2). This thematic Call is focusing on the safety of journalists reporting on the environment. UNESCO is seeking collaborations with not-for-profit organizations to enhance legal protections for these journalists and promote media freedom through investigative journalism or strategic litigation.
