The Child is Calling: Interfaith Cooperation to Build a Hopeful World for Children Launched in 2001, GNRC Tanzania holds a vision of awakening the peace
traditions residing in the threads of Tanzanian cultures to weave together a cloth of peace particularly focusing on the younger generation; the future of the planet. GNRC Tanzania works for a peaceful society that will ensur

e social justice, equality, and opportunity for all regardless of gender, class, color, creed, or tribe. Our process begins by selecting a social thread that can be cleansed and woven as a garment fit for our children. Our current strategy is focused on Transforming the Menace of Violence in Tanzania through:

1. Young Peace Ambassadors programs, including Peace Clubs and youth participatory governance.
3. Engaging religious leaders in addressing violent extremism
4. Youth Mentorship on life, employment, and leadership skills.

✨Human Rights In Action: Youth and Security Actors Advancing Inclusive Peace in Tanzania

🧮 On 11 February 2026, the Global Religions for Children Foundation Tanzania, through the Kujenga Amani Project, convened a Workshop for Gender-Sensitive and Human Rights-Based Approaches with Security State Actors at UN House Tanzania.

💪The workshop brought together 31 participants, including 11 security personnel from Police, Immigration, Prisons, and PCCB, alongside 20 youth and adult participants from Tanga and Mtwara.

💫Discussions focused on integrating Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) into daily security operations to promote inclusive dialogue on peace and security, while strengthening cooperation among partners.

⚤UN Women Tanzania, represented by Usu Malya, shared insights on Tanzania National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (TNAP–WPS), highlighting its implementation across eight regions, including Tanga and Mtwara, and emphasizing the meaningful involvement of women in peace and security processes.

📣Arigatou International Nairobi (ECP and GNRC) delivered a brief presentation on the Youth in Action (YIA) peace leadership network, emphasizing the application of a Human Rights-Based Approach in empowering young people to lead peace, justice, and social cohesion initiatives. The presentation highlighted interfaith collaboration, capacity building, and sustained support to youth-led advocacy and community actions across the region.

🔑A key highlight was the dialogue between youth beneficiaries of the Kujenga Amani Project and security personnel—recognizing youth as partners in peacebuilding rather than security threats.

🙏🏼Participants appreciated the Kujenga Amani project for the good organization of the project and they are committed to advancing HRBA and WPS

2024 was marked by growing fragility and rising violent conflicts. Sadly, children are among the most affected. These challenges make our work on Ethics Education more urgent and needed than ever.

In this period, we provided children with critical foundations to nurture ethical values and spiritual development, essential for building resilience. As children navigate a rapidly changing world, our programs equip them to make ethical choices and transform themselves and their communities by fostering compassion, solidarity, mutual understanding, respect, and empathy.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our supporters, partners, and collaborators who have made all this possible. We especially thank children, whose voices guide us and inspire us, strengthening our daily commitment.

Together, we are building a more peaceful and inclusive world for and with children.
