In 1959 the first Branch of YWCA in Tanzania was created, located in Moshi. Currently there are 21 operating Branches throughout the country, serving over 4000 members with the Head Quarters based in Dar es Salaam. Branches locations include: Arusha, Bundu, Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Ilula, Iringa, Ishinde, Karata, Lushoto, Magu, Mbeya, Mbozi, Mbulu Morogoro, Moshi, Mto wa Mbu, Mwanza, Rungwe, Rombo and Shingyanga.
