Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers nurturing the next generation with love and strength.

Today, we celebrate mothers who inspire children to keep learning, keep reading, and keep believing in their potential. Their guidance continues to shape confident learners and brighter futures.

Reading becomes more meaningful when students have access to books that inspire learning.

We carried out a book donation at Chamazi Secondary School in Temeke Municipal, where 169 story books and academic books were donated to support and strengthen the school library.

The donation aims to improve access to learning materials while encouraging students to develop a stronger reading culture and build a lasting habit of reading.

We extend our gratitude to Karimjee Foundation, Tanzania Library Service Board (TLSB), and Book Aid International for their support in making this donation possible and for their continued commitment to promote access to books and learning resources.

Today, we had the opportunity to test Soma Connect at Charambe Secondary School located in Temeke Municipal, Dar es Salaam Region, where students and library teachers were introduced to the system and guided on how to use it. This session allowed us to begin gathering user experience and feedback from both teachers and students.

It was encouraging to see their enthusiasm as they explored new ways of accessing learning resources through digital technology.

This is just the beginning. We look forward to expand access and supporting more schools as we continue strengthening the reading culture through our online platform, improving school libraries, and providing books to learners in the community.
