The Tanzania Girl Guides Association is a Non-Governmental and Voluntary Association dedicated to the advancement of Girls and Young Women socially and economically by providing them with Non-Formal Education Programmes and Training. Delivery of Non-Formal Education is throughout the Fundamental Principles of Guiding. We are focused in empowering girls and young women to be self-reliant, resourceful and loyal citizens.

The TGGA National Secretary was honored to attend a 2-days National Forum on Reproductive Justice in with the theme "Essential, Not Optional".

In a time of growing social, economic, and health challenges, reproductive health rights and wellbeing cannot be left behind.

Reproductive justice actors from across Tanzania came together to share experiences, strengthen collaboration, and promote rights, dignity, wellbeing, and equitable access to SRHR information and services for all.

On Saturday, the Tanzania Girl Guides actively participated in the Hedhi Salama Marathon in Mwenge! πŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨ Our goal was to break the silence, challenge the stigma surrounding Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH), and affirm that menstruation is a natural part of life.

Participating was more than just exercising, it was a bold statement to ensure that a period doesn't prevent a girl's education. Because menstrual hygiene is a right, not a taboo. Each step brings us closer to creating a . 🌍
