Last Friday, our Environmental Team, together with GERF Foundation visited Bagamoyo for an inspiring environmental program at a local primary school 🌱

The students and teachers learned how to create a simple irrigation system for watering planted trees using recycled materials such as plastic bottles and wire ♻️💧

To support the school further, we also donated a water tank to help solve the water shortage challenge and support sustainable tree care 🌍

Through teamwork, creativity, and sustainability, we continue empowering communities with practical environmental solutions for a greener future ✨

Empowering women through skills that create impact 🧼✨

At Art in Tanzania, we hosted a hands-on soap making workshop with amazing women from the community. They learned not only how to produce soap, but also proper storage, packaging techniques, and important safety measures.

This is more than just training — it’s about building confidence, creating income opportunities, and supporting sustainable livelihoods.

When women are equipped with practical skills, entire communities grow stronger 💪🌍

Our Human Rights interns from Art in Tanzania visited Nuru Njema School to introduce primary school students to their basic rights and responsibilities. Through simple and engaging activities, the children learned about kindness, respect, and the importance of staying safe.

The session also raised awareness about child abuse, helping children understand what is not okay and encouraging a safe and supportive environment for every child.

Protecting children starts with awareness 🤍

Today we held our Shampoo Making Workshop at the Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre. 🧴✨

Together with participants and mothers from the Centre, we learned how to make shampoo and shared a meaningful moment of learning and collaboration.

Through these workshops, mothers gain valuable skills that can help them generate income and better support their families, while also ensuring their children have continued access to rehabilitation services.

The contributions from today will go towards supporting the mothers, the Centre, and the purchase of materials for future workshops.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made today so special 💛

Today we take a closer look at the situation of women in Africa – and especially in Tanzania – using the Africa Women Inclusion Index, which measures women’s inclusion across key social and economic dimensions.
The latest data shows that Tanzania ranks among the top 20 countries in Africa, improving its score by +2.1 points between 2017 and 2022.

While this progress is encouraging, there is still a long way to go. Strengthening education, economic opportunities, financial inclusion, and leadership opportunities for women remains essential to ensure equal participation in society.

Empowering women means creating stronger societies, more resilient economies, and greater opportunities for future generations. 💛🌍
