Three days every month. That’s how many girls miss classes because of their periods.

This is about more than hygiene. It’s about dignity, confidence, and the right to learn without interruption.
For over 100 years, Save the Children has worked to protect children’s right. So we know what works.

Support a girl. Strengthen the future.

Save the Children, together with LHRC and THRDC, convened a UPR Validation Meeting bringing together CSOs and government ministries to validate the CSOs’ UPR Shadow Report for the 4th reporting cycle on the human rights implementation status, ahead of its submission to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

We engaged actively in the discussions and review of the UPR commitments, with a strong emphasis on assessing the progress and gaps related to children’s rights.

Our participation underscores our continued commitment to ensuring that children’s rights remain protected, upheld, and prioritized within national and global human rights accountability mechanisms.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, leadership, and potential of women and girls everywhere.
At Save the Children, we believe every girl deserves the chance to learn, lead, and shape her future. Yet millions of girls around the world still face barriers such as early marriage, inequality, and limited access to education.

When girls are empowered with education, protection, and opportunity, they transform their own lives and strengthen their communities.

Improving services for survivors starts with strengthening the people and systems behind them.
Service providers from One Stop Centres, and other stakeholders came together to sharpen their skills, strengthen coordination, and reflect on how support is delivered from first contact to follow-up.

The result is clear: more responsive institutions, better collaboration, and improved support for all survivors who seek help.
