The Philippines has a powerful new tool in the fight against online child exploitation and we couldn't be prouder.
Katalyst is built to help agencies cut through the volume — processing CyberTips, triaging cases, and surfacing where the urgent victims are. But effective deployment is never one-size-fits-all. Every country brings its own legal framework, its own operational realities, and its own investigators who deserve tools that work for them.
During a full-day workshop with partners across the Philippines, we walked through the capabilities of Katalyst and more importantly, listened. We wanted to understand how investigators work, what their legislative environment looks like, and what a system needs to do to genuinely fit into their workflows.

The breadth of support in the room spoke for itself. Legislators, executives, police, and NGOs all came to the table a clear signal that tackling online child exploitation in the Philippines is a whole-of-society commitment, and that Katalyst has backing across every level.

The feedback was invaluable.

We're now taking what we heard and getting to work — customising Katalyst to create real, measurable impact for Philippine law enforcement.

1,000,000 reports in 7 days.

That number deserves context, because scale alone means nothing without the infrastructure, safeguards, and prioritisation logic to handle it responsibly.

Behind every report is a potential victim.
Behind every backlog is an overwhelmed investigator.
Behind every delay is risk.

Processing one million referrals in a week is not about volume for the sake of volume. It is about:
• Removing duplication at scale
• Identifying repeat offenders faster
• Surfacing highest-risk cases earlier
• Reducing unnecessary media exposure for investigators
• Turning backlog into actionable intelligence

When CyberTip referrals are handled manually, prioritisation becomes reactive. When triage is automated, prioritisation becomes strategic.

Katalyst was engineered to ensure that speed does not compromise accuracy and that scale does not compromise wellbeing.

This milestone is not a marketing moment.
It is proof of operational capacity and more importantly, proof that backlog is not inevitable.

We are so very excited to announce the installation of Katalyst in Islamabad, Pakistan, the latest deployment of our Automated CyberTip Triage System.
Within just seven days, the system successfully processed one million NCMEC CyberTip reports! A clear demonstration of the strength, scalability, and operational impact of Katalyst in high-volume environments.

Alongside the deployment, we delivered specialised training and capacity-building consultation for the Pakistan Police. The NCCIA unit will now use Katalyst to transition from manual review processes to automated triage, significantly improving processing speed, prioritisation, and investigative efficiency.

This project was delivered in close collaboration with Childlight - Global Child Safety Institute, following a long-term and carefully planned effort to design a solution that is fit-for-purpose and locally customised. The official launch was attended by local and international dignitaries, and we were honoured to welcome British High Commissioner Jane Marriott CMG OBE, whose engagement and support for the wellbeing of both victims and investigators was greatly appreciated.

Our sincere thanks go to Omar Bashir Maniar, Ali and Imran for their invaluable on-the-ground support, and to Paul Beck and Kelvin Lay MBE Lay from Childlight for their continued partnership. A special acknowledgment also goes to Peter Pilley and Joe Gray, whose dedication ensured the delivery of high-quality training and a tailored service for end users.

This marks the beginning of an important new chapter. We look forward to seeing the continued impact and successes that this capability will enable. And we congratulate Pakistan on joining the Katalyst community of child protectors.

Katalyst at C0C0N 2025!

We were proud to present Katalyst at the prestigious C0C0N Conference in Kerala, India — a global gathering of experts, innovators, and law enforcement leaders dedicated to building a safer digital world for children.

Our session showcased how Katalyst streamlines the triage and investigation of cyber tip reports, strengthens collaboration across agencies, and empowers investigators with the tools they need to protect children faster and more effectively.

A huge thank you to Child Light and Kerala Police Cyberdome for hosting such an impactful event, and to everyone who joined us in the mission to make online spaces safer for children everywhere.

Expanding the Global Effort to Combat Online Child Harm
We are pleased to share that in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP Project Katalyst has been successfully initiated within the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Task Force (AHTCPTF) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania!
This marks an important milestone as we welcome the task force and Tanzania into the international community of those working tirelessly to protect children from online exploitation.

10 lap tops, server and supporting hardware were provided to the unit, during the handover, Bree Atkinson had the privilege of presenting the head of the unit, Tulibake, with the equipment, along with sheep soft toys from New Zealand gifted for the children’s interview room, creating a more comforting environment for young survivors.
The AHTCPTF is a multidisciplinary team comprising prosecutors, investigators, immigration officials, and social workers, ensuring a comprehensive approach to both victim support and offender investigations. Their dedication to safeguarding children and pursuing justice is inspiring, and we are proud to stand beside them as they embark on this critical mission of capacity building.
We look forward to supporting this new task force and encourage other service providers to join us in ensuring they have the tools, training, and resources needed for success.

Together, we can strengthen global efforts to combat online child harm and make a lasting impact.
