On Wednesday, 2nd September, Mabati Medical Centre received a fully automated clinical chemistry analyzer co-funded by Safal MRM Foundation and Safaricom PLC, with support from Safaricom Foundation to enhance our daily patient care.

The analyzer is now fully operational and already making a significant impact on patient care:
Faster Results: Diagnostic turnaround time for chemistry tests has decreased to under 1 hour, allowing patients to receive results much sooner.

Higher Capacity: Daily testing capacity has increased by over 70%, reducing wait times and enabling us to serve more patients efficiently.

In-House Diagnostics: We now perform critical organ function panels, lipid profiles, bone chemistry, and chronic disease monitoring on-site, which reduces the need for external referrals.

For our community in Mariakani and the wider Coast region, this results in faster diagnoses, immediate treatment decisions, and reduced waiting times.

We sincerely thank Safaricom PLC, Safaricom Foundation, our Safal MRM Foundation trustees and leadership, and the entire Mabati Medical Centre team for their dedication to delivering quality healthcare to our community.
