Roots&Shoots Dsm successfully held a charity event at Tan Kids Orphanage – Gongo la Mboto, in collaboration with university students from UDSM.
The children were happy, and we were also glad to spend time with them.

🌍 Highlights – R&S Teachers Training | Arusha ✨

We kicked off with an exciting Community Mapping session! R&S Teachers teamed up to sketch maps of the Cultural Heritage area — showing off some serious creativity, teamwork, and sharp observation skills! 💡🤝

Each group confidently presented their sketch maps, sparking some great discussions and ideas. 💬

We wrapped up the day with smiles and celebrations as all participants received their certificates! 🎉

In Kilimanjaro Region, Moshi District:
This week, we successfully distributed trees to more than 10 schools from the Roots&Shoots tree nursery, in collaboration with Kill Green Hub. Over 2,000 trees were distributed, and we also provided education on how to care for the trees.

In Mwanga and Tarakea districts:
We delivered more than 800 trees🌳.
The goal is to make these schools greener and more environmentally friendly.

🌿 Kili Kids Festival Highlights! 🌿
Held at Silverleaf Academy in Arusha and organized by our amazing partners Greenmanjaro, Afrisos and JGI Roots & Shoots, the festival brought together over 1,500 students from Arusha, Boma, and Moshi!

Our Roots&Shoots members explored inspiring climate care projects and enjoyed a great opportunity to connect, interact, and network with fellow changemakers. 🌍✨

A Roots&Shoots club of Mzenga Primary School,situated in kisarawe within Pwani region,recently received a donation of various shade and fruit tree seedlings.As part of a community or environmental initiative,the school actively participated in a tree planting excercise,involving both students and teachers.The activity aimed to promote environmental conservation,procide future sources of fruits,and enhance the School's sorroundings with more greenery and natural shade.

In celebration of International Children's Book Day and Earth Day, Roots & Shoots Rwanda, in partnership with the African Leadership University (ALU), organized an event to inspire children on the importance of reading and caring for our planet.

Participants were also provided with seedlings to plant at home as a practical step towards environmental stewardship. The event brought together 100 participants, including students, educators, Roots & Shoots volunteers, and ALU staff. Together, we can, we will, and we must change the world.💪🏻👌🏻💚☘️🌳

Today, the Roots&Shoots Club at the University of Dodoma(UDOM),in collaboration with TYBN (Tanzania Youth Biodiversity Conservation and Youth Engagement).

Through this seminar,participants were deeply inspired by the topics presented and the ongoing discussions.

Roots&Shoots members and TFS(Tanzania Firest Services) staff participated in rree planting activity, and they planted 550 trees inside the forest in an area that was previously harvested by local people.These trees will help restore the forest as before and make@it habitable for both people and animals...
