Thanks to your incredible support from last year’s UTU Kwanza Run, we were able to set up a Legal Aid Desk at the Kinondoni Court. Seeing people receive the help they need is a powerful reminder of why we run.

At the desk, we provided crucial legal lessons on topics like bail—explaining what bail is, which offenses are eligible, and how to apply for it. We also covered matrimonial property distribution and divorce, along with land matters, ensuring that everyone has access to the legal knowledge they need.

This year, we’re aiming even higher—our goal is to expand the Legal Aid Desk to more areas and courts, reaching more people and making justice accessible to all. Join us in this mission at the upcoming UTU Kwanza Run, and let’s continue to make a lasting impact together! 🏃‍♂️💪

Over the weekend our volunteers for the Legal Aid Desk Project went through an orientation and training program conducted by the Chairman.

Our first Legal Aid Desk will be stationed at the Kinodoni court starting from the 29th of April. We are excited and look forward to being of service to the community.
