Climate change is not gender neutral.
In many communities, women and girls are often the first to feel its impacts: through water scarcity, extreme heat, economic pressure, and rising risks to health and safety.
As we approach International Women’s Day (March 8), MyLEGACY is launching Green Frames, a participatory documentary project exploring how climate change intersects with gender and everyday life in Dar es salaam communities.
Through dialogue, reflection, and co-creation, Green Frames will document lived experiences and elevate community voices shaping the climate conversation.
The Green Frames project is part of VIJANA@rtWORK: Creative Youth for Social Cohesion Across Tanzania, implemented by the Goethe-Institut Tanzania and CDEA (Culture and Development East Africa) with financial support from the European Union.
We are grateful to our partners for supporting youth-led creative initiatives that strengthen dialogue, community voice, and social cohesion across Tanzania.
