People's Development Forum (PDF) is an International non-profit organization which was found in 2008. It became legally registered under the Non-governmental organization Act, 2002 of the Laws of Tanzania in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children in 2010 with registration number 00000/00004302 and later on registered in the Republic of South Sudan on 23rd day of June 2015 in th
e Ministry of Justice with Registration No. 2,549 followed by a certificate of operation No. 1,476 issued by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC) of the Republic of South Sudan. PDF operates at both grassroots and national level (urban and rural) focusing in the neediest community in Tanzania and South Sudan. Currently it has its head office located in Dar Es Salaam and other offices Located in Dodoma, Njombe, Morogoro and Kwimba and Juba in the Republic of South Sudan. PDF works to contribute to the millennium Development Goals namely (1) Reduce child mortality; (2) Improve maternal health; (3) Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; and (4) Ensure environmental sustainability. PDF uses integrated approaches to development which apart from focusing on the aforementioned MGDs, results as well in contribution to the rest of the MDGs such as eradicating extreme poverty and hunger and Universal primary education.
