Akwaaba! Gendering AI 2026 is heading to Accra! 🇬🇭

We are thrilled to announce that the third edition of the Gendering AI Conference will be hosted in the vibrant heart of Ghana from October 20–22, 2026.

This year, we are gathering under the theme: Feminist Infrastructures of Artificial Intelligence

As AI becomes the bedrock of our public systems, we are meeting in Accra to ask the tough questions: Who owns these systems? Who do they serve? And how do we build digital futures rooted in justice?

Our journey has taught us that the revolution will not be "single-built." In the spirit of coming together, we are leaning deeper into our feminist grounding. We recognise that true transformation requires collective power, not individual builders.

We will soon announce the Collective, the diverse group of thinkers and activists shaping this year’s vision,ensuring this convening is built on a foundation of shared wisdom.

Today was a truly impactful and inspiring day spent with the amazing students at Precious Primary school as the KSGEN team marked International Girls in ICT Day 2026. 💻✨

Through engaging training sessions, we empowered young girls with digital skills, confidence, and the belief that they belong in the world of technology. Moments like these remind us that when girls are given the opportunity to learn and explore ICT, they become innovators, leaders, and change-makers of tomorrow.

Together, we are building a future where no girl is left behind in the digital revolution. 🌍💡
