Visiting parents who are in Saving and lending groups to distribute seed capital to each member at Sorenyi , Juhudi and Amani VSLA (Village Saving and Lending Association ) groups .
It was encouraging to hear from parents how VSLA have improved their financial status in their families which contributed to reduced in violence against children due to financial strains . Through saving together and supporting each many families are now able to meet their daily needs , reduce stress and plan for the future.
Parents also shared how improved incomes has helped to create more peace at home and better care for their children.
Step by step , we are seeing positive changes in families and stronger safer communities # saving groups # fieldvisit

Volunteer Testimonial

“When I was searching for an overseas volunteer position, I was eager to find a way to offer my professional skills to FAE where I could really make an impact. FAE was a great match for me because they are a small team with ambitious goals and we were able to accomplish a lot during my stay. Their four areas approach is driven by engagement which I believe creates long term development solutions. At the same time, this approach made a very exciting volunteer opportunity because I was able to go out into the field and interact with disadvantaged children and their parents in the rural schools and communities that we were serving. It was an incredible cultural experience and one that would be very difficult to have as a tourist. I came home with new friends and the feeling that I was able to make a difference.”

Wow, really impressive😀. Early intervention is crucial to build foundational skills such as numeracy. These kids at our Esilalei Maasai Nursery School demonstrate to us that they are building basic numeracy and literacy skills necessary for higher education level.

Imagine these children arrived at the school when they could not even count but see how they are making progress. Isn't this changing children's lives? Big up to these kids for the efforts they are making to acquire foundation skills👏🔥🎉

Playing and singing are powerful, multi-sensory stimulators that accelerate early childhood development by enhancing brain connectivity, strengthening emotional binds, and improving language skills. These activities are highly practiced at the FAE's Inclusive Early Childhood Development and Center at Nazaret.
