Movaro cultural tourism program is a community based organization established for the aim of preserving the culture and traditions of our community as well as to promote Environmental conservation for sustainability of our future generations. LOCATION.
Moivaro cultural tourism is located in Moivaro village in Arusha. 10km drive from the town of arusha by using Arusha-Moshi road up a place known a
s “Kambi ya Chupa” and you will be picked by our guides at the bus stand. A visit to Moivaro cultural tourism will offer you’re a lot to do like,
➢ Coffee tour which gives you a chance to learn about coffee production and processing from how to plant until you get a cup of black coffee by using local tools.
➢ A short walking tour to Nduruma River where you can enjoy seeing natural springs, caves, birds, monkeys and various species of plants.
➢ Hiking to Oldonyo masi hill where you can view a whole village and some part of Arusha town
WE OFFER DIFFERENT CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND TOURS SUCH AS;
1. COFFEE TOUR ( 2-3Hrs )
A fantastic local experience about how coffee Arabica is Growed, harvested, peeling out the outer skin, dried, roasted, grinded, boiled and lastly a fine brewed cup of coffee with amazing taste prepared by local tools.
2. WALKING TOUR ( 3- 4Hrs )
Walking around the village and nearby places will give you a chance to learn the way people live and their daily activities or a visit to farms and plantations to see the agricultural activities
3. HIKING TOUR ( 2-3Hrs )
A hike tour to different small mountains around Arusha city this will give you an opportunity to find the good views of town and landscapes in Arusha also you will come across various plant and animals species as well as birds.
4. Here a client get a chance to have a walk around the town and visit central market to see how local people sell their products such as vegetables, fruits and spices also a short visit to maasai market to see work of arts and buying different cultural items and so much more.
5. A client will enjoy home cooked traditional food of various tribes such as Maasai, Meru, Chagga and others and a guide will explain each food and its tribe.
6. CYCLING TOUR (4-5 Hrs). A cycling tours around the village up to Lake Duluti a small crater lake where you can enjoy its view and bird watching.
7. HOME STAY AND VOLUNTEERS
