Step-by-Step Learning Centre (SSLC) in Tanzania has begun construction a new Adult Centre!
This Adult Center will create space for a professional therapy room, which will be used to serve children and young adults with disabilities through physical and occupational therapy on an outpatient basis. This new service will allow for income generation for the school, expanding its impact in the community by serving those who are not students at SSLC but need specialized services. The building will also provide space for a school dining area, restaurant, and retail shop to sell products made by young adult students. In addition, the new Adult Center creates the needed space for these adult students to continue to learn life skills, create beautiful products, and have a greater opportunity to learn new trades and participate in safe employment.
