See that smile? It has greeted hundreds of volunteers as they arrived at the Kilimanjaro Airport for the 45-minute ride to Camp Joshua and LOHADA. As the son of LOHADA founder Mama Happiness Wambura, Jacob Wambura charmed us all with his stories, was our "fixer," and made sure everybody connected with the kids at Camp Joshua. That smile now lives on in our hearts. Tragically, Jacob was vacationing with another LOHADA volunteer in the United States when he slipped off a paddleboard and drowned Sunday afternoon. His wife Liz was on a nearby dock. She flew home to be with their daughter, Abagail; funeral arrangements are pending.
