It’s a wrap on
🌍 330+ stakeholders
🌍 23+ countries
🎙️ 26+ forums and panels discussions

Together, we gathered to co-create solutions for Africa’s leadership future and strengthen the role of young people in shaping the continent’s development.

As Mr. Jacob Eyeru reminded us:
“Africa’s future will not change because young people are present in the room. It will change when young people are prepared, represented, and bold enough to shape the policies that determine the continent’s future.”

That vision sits at the heart of , creating spaces where young people move beyond participation to influence, leadership and action.

Thank you to our partners, speakers, moderators, delegates and all stakeholders who made possible.

The summit may be over, but the work of advancing youth leadership continues.

📸 Highlights, insights, reflections and key outcomes from will be coming your way soon, stay tuned!

Introducing Africa Week at MS TCDC, an initiative of One Young Africa.

While Africa Day reminds us of a defining moment in our shared history, we believe that one day is simply not enough to celebrate the stories, achievements, cultures, resilience and aspirations of our continent.

At YouLead Summit 2026, we launched the Africa Week Initiative; a new annual tradition that will create space for deeper reflection, storytelling, cultural exchange and conversations about Africa’s journey since the formation of the Organization of African Unity in 1963.

As part of the launch, we produced this special documentary capturing reflections from young Africans on one simple but powerful question:

“What does Africa Day mean to you?”

Their answers are honest, inspiring, thought-provoking, and a reminder that Africa’s greatest asset remains its people.

This is more than a celebration of where we have come from. It is a commitment to where we are going.

🎥 Watch the documentary and join us as we begin a new tradition of celebrating Africa beyond a single day.
