Over the past few years, we’ve seen what becomes possible when children are given access and support. Today, more than 400 children are part of our programs already changing lives here in Arusha.

But education is only the beginning.

Through our Building Futures Fundraising Campaign, we’re working to strengthen the programs already making an impact while creating new pathways toward opportunity, entrepreneurship, and long term support for families.

Last year, we hosted a Town Hall with our supporters — a space to listen, reflect, and learn together.

The conversation focused on hearing directly from those who walk alongside us: what we can do better, where we can improve, and the questions that matter most to our community. It was an open and honest exchange, and one that we continue to learn from.

The session went well, and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to join and share their thoughts.

Last week, Tastes of Tanzania was brought to life by a group of high school students from Bishop Guilfoyle Academy a student-led effort that required time, coordination, and commitment.

Through their planning and commitment, the event raised $8,000, which will go directly toward supporting the ongoing construction of the Selfless Nursery School dining hall in Arusha. This project was originally started last year with support from the same group of students and had reached the foundation stage. This contribution will now help us continue the next phase of construction.

We are grateful to the students who led this effort, to everyone who attended, and to those who supported in different ways. Each contribution played a part in moving this work forward.

Inside E-Shuleni, learning takes different forms, but the purpose remains the same.

Through tablet-based learning, children engage with digital tools that support independent learning and steady progress. In the reading club, they build confidence, strengthen comprehension, and grow through shared reading sessions.

With the support of our interns, these spaces continue to evolve in simple and meaningful ways shaped by consistency, care, and presence.

🌍 One night. Real impact.

On April 17, the Bishop Guilfoyle Academy National Honor Society is hosting Tastes of Tanzania — an evening dedicated to helping complete a multipurpose hall at a nursery school in Arusha, Tanzania through Selfless Solutions.

This project will serve nursery students and the surrounding village community, providing space for education, learning, and opportunity.

• Raffles and silent auction
• A meaningful mission
