Arusha Children’s Effort (ACE) is a not-for-profit organisation registered in New Zealand (CC45344), established by Vinnie Duncan, in response to an initiative started by Mary Duncan in 2010. ACE has the sole objective of facilitating the pathways into and monitoring the ongoing education for impoverished youth in Arusha, Tanzania. ACE works with local schools and businesses, on a sponsorship base
d programme, aiming to match each child with a sponsor/s to provide support financially and holistically. ACE is a web based initiative, and wishes to hold the number of children within the programme at 100, to ensure that a sustainable, caring structure remains in place. The students are regularly monitored, with updates being sent to sponsors regularly. All donations or sponsorship funds are currently paid to ACE, in and outside of New Zealand. ACE pays the tuition fees each semester DIRECTLY to the schools, and pays student and organization expenses to the ACE bank account in Arusha, managed by ACE employee, Blandina Mapunda.
