eannaso.org

eannaso.org The Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS & Health Service Organizations (EANNASO) evolved from the AIDS NGO Network in East Africa (ANNEA).

EANNASO is a not for profit regional Network of HIV&AIDS, TB, Malaria and Health promotion works in seven Eastern Africa Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan. ANNEA was a network of NGOs/CBOs from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania formed in 1994 to network, share experiences and have a single advocacy voice on HIV & AIDS issues in East Africa. EANNASO has tapped into regiona

l and international expertise to empower the Civil Society in effectively contributing to the reduction of new HIV infections, through strengthening institutional and programmatic capacities, promoting sharing of experiences, best practices and identifying priorities of CSOs.

Today, we celebrate mothers in all their diversities.

To the women nurturing families, communities, movements, and futures; we honor your strength, resilience, boldness and leadership.

We celebrate mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, mentors, guardians, young mothers, women living with and affected by HIV, women leading community responses and every woman who continues to hold space for hope and healing even in the face of challenges.

At EANNASO, we recognize that care is powerful work, and that communities thrive because of the countless women who continue to show up, support others and lead change every single day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and mother figures across our communities. 🌸

Communities are the 1st responders in any health crisis, but often the least supported. Through the Building Pandemic-Ready Communities project, EANNASO, with the support of AHF, is working with partners in Rwanda & Sierra Leone to change that. We recently convened stakeholders to share real experiences, highlight gaps in community preparedness, and explore solutions that put communities at the center of pandemic response.
Resilient communities are the foundation of resilient health systems.
