Karibuni to our monthly safari in Malambo!

MAF flies in help, hope and healing to remote villages in this region every month.
In cooperation with the Malambo Dicipleship Training Center, we partner with evangelists by flying them out to reach new areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These flights also enable discipleship to already reached villages.

Together with Malambo Dispensery, MAF provides hard to reach places with maternity and child health clinics, as well as transport patients from these remote communities to specialized medical care in Arusha.

Dr Erick Msigomba and his team fly with MAF to Tabora, where they perform eye surgery for Tanzanians in deep need.
As Ernest Nicolaus Skalwanda enters the hospital, his hand is held by Abeli Pita Kamanija. As younger man leads a blind older man to life-changing surgery, it’s evident that the weight of five years of blindness has been weighing heavily.
There is something deeply moving about the bond between Ernest and Abeli. They share neither blood relations nor age. Ernest is a divorced man. Since his family abandoned him, he has learnt to depend on strangers for support.
When Ernest heard that the eye doctors were coming to Kaliua, he begged money from many different people to be able to travel for eye surgery.
Thanks to MAF, Tanzanian eye surgeon Erick Msigomba and his team flew from Njombe to Tabora, turning a two-day-journey by road into only two hours. With the delicate equipment, he and his team could not have managed to travel by road.
This one act of kindness set free 66-year-old Ernest, reclaiming for him independence and dignity.

Mothers at the remote Chidudu airstrip waited eagerly for the arrival of the MAF aircraft to deliver their monthly child- and maternity clinic.

Without the partnership between Kilimatinde Hospital and MAF, people living in the surrounding isolated regions would be completely cut off from basic health care services, such as childhood vaccinations, pregnancy check-ups and growth monitoring.

It is such an honour for us to join in providing life preserving treatment that puts a smile on those faces encountered!

After two and half years of blindness, Rozalia gained sight thanks to the MAF flight that transported eye surgeons to her region. One life-changing operation has turned a retirement home into a celebratory home.
