Seeing your dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving your communities is a powerful reminder that this work matters. The seeds planted years ago are bearing fruit through your actions, your mentorship, and the impact you continue to create in the lives of other girls.

You are living proof that when a girl is empowered, she goes on to empower others.

We are proud of you, grateful for you, and excited to see the lives you will continue to transform.

After our Menstrual Health and Hygiene session at Nyamagana Secondary School, every girl received a menstrual kit to support her in managing her period safely and confidently. As we distributed the kits, we were reminded that access to menstrual products remains a challenge for many girls, affecting their education, health, and self-esteem.

believes that no girl should miss school or feel ashamed because of her period. By combining accurate menstrual health education with practical support, we are helping girls thrive, one kit and one conversation at a time.

During our visit to the Nyamagana Secondary School mentorship club, the girls presented their vision boards to our team. But the most breathtaking part wasn’t the beautiful artwork. It was the deep passion, articulation, motivation, and sheer excitement in their voices as they spoke.

Through our mentorship program, these girls have awakened their kujitambua (self-awareness) and are stepping fully into their power.
They are not just dreaming; they are visionary young leaders who know exactly what they want and how to get there.

Yesterday, our team visited Nyamagana Secondary School, mentored by our incredible Empowered Girls alumni studying at St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT).

The girls took the life skills they’ve learned and turned them into something truly practical and sustainable. They proudly showed us their thriving vegetable garden, which is now a local food source, and shared how they are transferring these climate-resilient farming skills back home to help feed their families.

Even more inspiring, they demonstrated their liquid soap-making project! They are making and selling liquid soap to school staff, and using the profits to buy scholastic materials for girls from highly vulnerable families. Some girls have even taken this knowledge further, making soap at home to support their own personal and educational needs.

This is what happens when you equip a girl—she lifts her entire community. This is the true definition of ‘Empowered to Empower’!

Last week, we were honored to host representatives from KKS (Karl Kübel Stiftung für Kind und Familie) at

KKS is a German foundation that has spent more than 50 years strengthening families, protecting children, and supporting education and community development around the world. Their visit was an opportunity to learn more about our work and explore ways we can work together to create brighter futures for girls and families.

We are grateful for the meaningful conversations, shared learning, and the possibility of building partnerships that put children’s wellbeing, protection, and empowerment at the center.

Conversations of our participants about menstruation. 💗

Today, on Menstrual Hygiene Day, we are sharing the voices of girls as they speak openly about periods, the challenges they face, and why menstrual health and hygiene matter.

Every girl deserves dignity, confidence, information, and access to menstrual products.
