We held an inception meeting on 10th August 2026, at Marurani Primary School ahead of the construction of a new school kitchen.

School leaders and community members came together to understand the project, discuss responsibilities and accountability, and prepare for the work ahead.

With support from One Kind Act and Bhardwaj Family, the new kitchen will provide an improved space for preparing meals for students and strengthen the school’s feeding facilities.

We look forward to working alongside the Marurani community throughout the implementation of this project.

The answers may be different. The need for opportunity is not.
Young people have different circumstances, different experiences and different ideas of what a better future looks like.

But whether that means learning in a better classroom, having a safe school environment, managing their period with dignity or having the confidence to speak up, opportunity matters.

Through our work in partner schools and communities, we’re helping create spaces where young people can learn, participate and pursue those aspirations.

Different contexts, common aspirations.

Happy International Youth Day 2026!

We are back at Mzimuni Primary School, and there's more to do.

On 10th August, 2026, we held an inception meeting with the school leaders and community members to introduce an upcoming project: the construction of 8 new classrooms and 2 teachers’ offices, which will help create a safer and more conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

Through the inception process, stakeholders discussed roles, responsibilities, accountability, and lessons from previous projects.

We believe sustainable development happens with communities, not simply for communities. Together, we are investing in better learning environments for children.

From a seed in the soil to food on a child’s plate, there’s a whole story in between.

Through our school feeding programme, the school gardens we establish help grow fresh food for school meals, while giving children in our partner schools the opportunity to learn by growing, caring for and harvesting their own food.

Because when children have access to nutritious food and a supportive learning environment, they have a better chance to learn, grow and pursue their dreams.

This Nane Nane, we celebrate the work behind every harvest.

Happy Nane Nane Day!

Big milestone!

We have officially rolled out our Teacher Training Project to help improve the learning environments across our deep rural partner schools.

To ensure long-term impact, we held an inception meeting with education officers, teachers, school committees, parents, and community elders from 5 of our partner schools. Together, we introduced our goals, mapped out critical learning gaps, and agreed on a collaborative path forward.

This marked the beginning of a collaborative journey built on teamwork and commitment to better outcomes for children.

The school kitchen has reached the roofing stage, marking another important milestone in its construction at Manyire Primary School.

Soon, this space will become a place where hundreds of meals are prepared, supporting children's health and helping them stay focused in class.

We are grateful to The Faroe Islands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture and our partner Made With Hope for their support in building opportunities that will serve the school for years to come.

A few weeks ago, this was just prepared soil. Today, it's beginning to feed a vision.

Here's the latest look at the school garden at Manyire Primary School. The garden continues to flourish, bringing the school one step closer to producing fresh vegetables that will support student nutrition.

We are grateful to our donors, Faroe Islands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture and our partner Made With Hope ,whose support helped establish this garden and laid the foundation for its continued growth.
