5/8 Recap
💓Mom knows best! Meeting Recap💓
from our Meeting Manager, Elaine❣️
TME
This was Victoria’s debut as the TME, but she did an excellent job hosting the meeting. The flow and pace were so smooth that I truly enjoyed every moment of it. I would also like to thank her for the meaningful theme, which inspired so many heartwarming stories about mothers.
Timer and Ah-Counter
Both Banyan and Annzo are truly multi-functional, as they each took on two roles during the meeting. Thanks to their support and contributions, the meeting ran very smoothly. Thank you for saying “yes” to me — I truly appreciate your help.
Prepared Speech Session
The three speeches were all unique and delivered in different styles.
From Aileen’s speech, I felt tolerance and strength.
From Amy’s speech, I saw change and hope.
And from Annie’s speech, I learned about different leadership styles and realized that being a leader is not as difficult as it may seem.
All of these speeches encouraged us to become better versions of ourselves and stronger leaders in the future. No wonder we always say, “Toastmasters is where leaders are made!”
Thank Annie for the delicious cake, and thank you to whoever brought the snacks. The tasty food also made our night even more wonderful.
Table Topics Session
Banyan always gives us adorable questions that make us smile and feel joyful. I would like to say that if I had to choose between work, family, friends, or the one I love, I would definitely choose adorable Banyan! Haha!
General Evaluation Session
Conny looked so comfortable and elegant on stage. Whenever she stood on stage, I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She cared deeply for everyone, whether they were speakers or role takers. Her warm appreciation and thoughtful feedback warmed everyone’s hearts. Thank you, Conny, for your support and for willingly taking on this role.
IEs
Yating was truly a firefighter. She said yes to me only one week before the meeting, and she even needed to “do her homework” by watching the videos in order to compare the two speeches and provide feedback. She did an excellent job and offered useful observations and encouragement. Well done!
Dana demonstrated how an experienced speaker delivers evaluations. She used simple and clear language to express her suggestions while always staying aligned with the project goals. This is exactly what speakers should focus on when preparing their speeches. Thank you, Dana.
Anyi was also a firefighter. The difference was that she only found out she would be an IE five minutes before the meeting, yet she still did an amazing job. I can’t believe it was her first time — I truly see great potential in her.
Grammarian
James was so kind to volunteer for this challenging role, which is something I personally would not dare to do. He made the session so interesting that everyone was entertained by his performance. I was deeply touched by his dedication and thoughtfulness.
Special Thanks
Special thanks to Richard for saying yes to conducting the mini workshop during the intermission. He showed me the true meaning of “If not me, then who?” — and that is truly inspiring. Beyond gratitude, I believe that under his leadership, Chungli Toastmasters Club will continue to grow and reach new heights!
