Though you have now departed for a distant shore, you will forever dwell within our hearts. As we walk the Olle trails, your legacy will march alongside us with every step.

We hope that the activities of your organizations have been successfully launched, and that exchanges among us will continue to grow stronger.

At the beginning of March, ATN secretariat sent out emails to all regular members regarding the collection of membership fees, as well as applications for Annual Program Support and International Exchange Project Support. We look forward to your responses.
​
In addition, we have compiled a preliminary schedule of activities among ATN members. If there are any events we have missed, please feel free to leave a comment below.

We encourage everyone to actively participate in each other’s events whenever possible, to foster exchange and collaboration.

Are you looking for an opportunity to increase your trail's international exposure?

Then hosting the 2027 Asia Trails Conference (ATC) would be the best chance for you!

With more than 30 organizations all over Asia, the bi-annual conference would attract international hikers and trail experts, and would be a great example of public-private partnership.

We are looking for our next host. If you are a regular member of the network, and if you are not, you are more than welcome to apply! DM us for more details.

Congrats to our members Kyushu Oile Certified Councils and Kyushu Tourism Organization for hosting another wonderful Kyushu Olle walking festival in on the Saiki-Onyujima trail. More than 700 people walked on the trail together, enjoying the sunshine, the sea and the pine forest. Kyushu Olle 九州オルレ 규슈올레

During our visit, we also visited some of our trail partners in Kyushu, including Mt. A*o Trail Maintenance (阿蘇山道整備), 一社）トレイルブレイズハイキング研究所／Trailblaze Hiking Institute, Miyazaki Hiking Club (九州自然歩道みやざきハイキングクラブ) and Kyushu Nature Trail Forum (九州自然步道 フォーラム).

We hope to deepen our connection with the wider trail organizations in Asia, and continue to serve as a platform for our members.

Have you walked on the Kyushu Olle Trails before?

This year, the Kyushu Olle Walking Festival will be held on the Saiki-Onyujima course. Hikers can experience boat ride to the beautiful island, as well as the forest and coastal scenery along the trail.

Hello friends of ATN, 🎬The World Trails Film Festival🎬 is calling for films for 2026! We’re excited to share this opportunity with you, as it’s a great chance for your trail story to be seen around the world.

The regular deadline is January 19, 2026. Submissions are open to short films (under 60 seconds) and feature films (40+ minutes), and cash prizes will be awarded to the best-selected films.

Dear ATN members,

Thank you for the wonderful year! This year, we walked on each other’s trails, celebrated new friendships and course openings, and had a great gathering in Miyagi.

We just sent out the 2025 meeting minutes. Since there will be some changes to the membership structure in the upcoming years, we also notified our associate members in a separate email.

We look forward to building new relationships, strengthening existing ones, and continue to provide a platform for ATN members, and allow the world to see Asia in all our diversity.

올 한 해 함께해 주셔서 진심으로 감사드립니다.
올해 우리는 서로의 트레일을 걷고, 새로운 우정과 코스 개장을 함께 축하했으며, 미야기에서 뜻깊은 만남의 시간을 가졌습니다.

방금 2025년 회의록을 발송해 드렸습니다. 향후 몇 년간 회원 구조에 일부 변화가 있을 예정이어서, 준회원 분들께는 별도의 이메일로도 안내를 드렸습니다.

🇯🇵 in Miyagi🍂 It's a wrap!

Thank you Miyagi for hosting a successful . We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and hospitality.❤️

It was a joy to see everyone gather, ready and excited to share the stories and energy of their trails.

Despite a walk being cancelled due to bear sighting precaution🐻 (Talk about one of the unexpected trail problems possibly related to climate change!) , it was still lovely to see all the ATN members enjoying walks amid the beautiful autumn colors of Japan🍁 The curated experience was truly wonderful.
