Lessons from RS - Part 1
As I reflect myself after 1 year and 7 months in this relationship with my fiancee, there are three things I learned from him.
Quick to say “SORRY”
No matter what adjustment we have, he is always quick to say sorry when things get heat up even though he is right most of the time. This makes me to reflect back and learn to say sorry when I do wrong. I was not the type of person who would easily say sorry but his guesture makes to value my relationship with him and not risk it without admitting when I am wrong.
Words of “APPRECIATION”
At the end of the day, when we have quality time together, he would always tell me that “I did a great job today, and that he is so proud of me.” This might seem unnessary or silly thing for some people and yet for me it makes me to realise that there is this special man who would always be proud of me with little contribution that I can give to my family, in my work place or in the ministries.
Being “PATIENT”
Out of my many weakness, one of them would be impatient. I am a planner and detailed oriented with no patient. I would eaisly get mad when things don’t work out as plan or when plan keeps on changing it was difficult for me to accpet unless there are facts that could convince me. However, this man remind me that being a little more patience can save a lot of things in any types of relationship.
Therefore, if I have to sum up, I see, experience, and feel that this relationship has changed me to be a better person because I learned to trust God more than ever before and I am trusting God with our process while learning so much from this gentleman.
If you have anything you learn from your relationship, let us know too.
