【8th Lih Pao Sculpture Biennial Awards|Two Days Left to Apply】
“Sculpture is both subtraction and addition. It is about time, and extends into the relationship between light and shadow, the body, and space.”
Organized by the Lih Pao Cultural Arts Foundation, the 2026 8th Lih Pao Sculpture Biennial Awards—an international biennial event dedicated to contemporary sculpture—has entered its final two days of submissions.
This edition poses the fundamental question: **“What is sculpture?”** We warmly invite artists from around the world to break through geographical and conceptual boundaries, and to reconsider sculpture through their own artistic perspectives—exploring its forms, materials, and ways of seeing, while discovering the possibilities and contemporary significance of sculpture today.
For years, the Lih Pao Sculpture Biennial Awards has been committed to promoting the development of contemporary sculpture. Beyond providing artists with an international platform for exchange, the Awards seek to bring together diverse cultural backgrounds and artistic perspectives, fostering cross-border dialogue and building bridges between art and cultures.
Only two days remain. We look forward to welcoming artists from around the world and embarking together on a continued exploration and dialogue on contemporary sculpture.
