🌿 DAY 2 — Understanding Our Emotions

Day 2 of “Allah Created Me the Best!” began, as always, with Qur’an reading. 📖✨

Today, we explored Social Emotional Learning (SEL) — helping children recognize their emotions, manage themselves, understand others, build healthy relationships, and make responsible choices. 💛

From understanding what happens within ourselves, we then looked beyond ourselves to the vastness of Allah’s creation. 🌎🌌

Through fun games and discovery activities, the children began exploring the **solar system and universe**, preparing for tomorrow’s adventure at the space museum! 🚀

From our hearts to the stars, every discovery is a chance to see the signs of Allah. ✨

🤍 Help us keep creating meaningful learning experiences.

🌿 DAY 1 — ALLAH CREATED ME THE BEST!
Al-Hadi Summer Program 2026

Our first day of the Al-Hadi Summer Program began with a simple but profound question:
What makes our body so amazing—and what does it tell us about its Creator?

Through our Morning Circle, the children gathered, connected, and prepared themselves for a day of learning together.

We continued with Qur’an learning, before exploring the human body through the lens of the Qur’an. Rather than learning the body simply as a collection of organs and biological systems, the children were invited to see their bodies as signs (āyāt) of Allah’s creation—something to observe, appreciate, and be grateful for.

🫀 Knowing the body.
🌱 Recognizing the Creator.
🤲 Growing in gratitude.

The children also learned about caring for their bodies and were introduced to basic first aid skills for common injuries. Learning how to respond when someone is hurt is not only practical—it is also part of learning to care for ourselves and others.

After Dhuhr prayer, learning continued in a more hands-on and delicious way! 🍇🌴
The children created their own Qur’an-inspired fruit desserts, using fruits mentioned in the Qur’an, including dates and grapes, among others.

Through this activity, food became another doorway to learning: discovering what Allah has mentioned in His Book, appreciating His provision, and enjoying the process of creating something together.

This is the kind of education we hope to nurture at Al-Hadi—an education where children are not only given information, but are guided to see the signs of Allah, understand their responsibilities, and turn knowledge into meaningful action.
And this Summer Program is part of a bigger journey.

Al-Hadi is working toward building a sustainable Islamic educational institution in Taiwan, creating a place where Muslim children can grow academically, spiritually, socially, and practically while remaining rooted in their faith.

🤍 You can be part of this journey.
If you would like to help keep programs like this running and support the operational needs of Islamic education at Al-Hadi, your donation can help make these learning experiences possible for more children.

Every contribution—big or small—is part of building something that can continue to benefit our children and future generations.

🌱 Growing Together Before Guiding Others

As a follow-up to the teacher training attended by three Al-Hadi teachers earlier this July, we continued the learning journey together with our wider teaching team from July 28–30, 2026 through a Self-Directed Teacher Training Program in preparation for the upcoming semester.

This initiative reflects our commitment to becoming not merely teachers, but learning facilitators—adults who accompany, observe, guide, and nurture each child throughout their educational journey.

Throughout the three days, our teachers explored the learning approach that will be implemented in our classrooms, from Morning Circle and structured individual and collaborative learning blocks to building a truly student-centered learning environment.

At the heart of this approach is our belief that every child is born with Fitrah—a natural disposition to learn, an innate curiosity, and unique potential that deserves to be nurtured.

At Al-Hadi, we strive to provide a holistic education rooted in Islamic values. Learning is not only about developing knowledge and skills, but also about helping children recognize the signs of Allah, grow in their relationship with Him, and understand their purpose as His servants.

📚 Over the three days, our teachers explored:
Day 1 — The Philosophy of Al-Hadi's Education
We revisited the foundations of Al-Hadi's educational vision and reflected on inspiring role models from Islamic history whose character and values we hope our students will learn to emulate.

Day 2 — Understanding Children's Fitrah
We explored children's God-given curiosity and love of learning, while brainstorming ways to make learning meaningful and celebrate learning goals together as a community.

Day 3 — Becoming Effective Learning Facilitators
We developed practical strategies for designing meaningful learning experiences that begin with each child's interests, strengths, developmental stage, and individual needs.

This training reminded us of a principle we deeply value:
Before we can inspire children to become lifelong learners, we must first become lifelong learners ourselves.

Our teachers are also learners. We grow, reflect, question, improve, and learn together—because the quality of the environment we create for children begins with the adults who guide them.

May every step we take in learning and improving ourselves become a means of serving our students with excellence, nurturing their fitrah, and ultimately drawing closer to Allah. 🤍

Yaser Cheng(鄭泰祥)-臺北清真寺董事長
Dr. Dawood Abdulmalek Yahya Al Hidabi-

Building the Future of Islamic Education in Taiwan: Al-Hadi Brings Together Experts to Discuss the Future of Islamic School Education

July 26, 2026 — One day after the successful performance of Faith Across Oceans, Al-Hadi Taiwan Islamic Education & Cultural Center (TIECC) continued its mission to develop Islamic education in Taiwan by organizing a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme “Islamic School in Taiwan.” The discussion aimed to explore the future direction of Islamic education and how to build a strong foundation for an Islamic school in Taiwan.

As part of this mission, Al-Hadi TIECC has been approved as a six-year Experimental Education Institution. Starting from the 116th academic year (2027 academic year), Al-Hadi Experimental Education Institution will begin its educational program at Da Feng Elementary School in New Taipei City. Through this program, Al-Hadi hopes to provide a more suitable primary education environment for Muslim children in Taiwan.

The FGD brought together scholars, educators, and community leaders from different backgrounds to share their knowledge, experiences, and advice on how to build a sustainable Islamic school in Taiwan.

The speakers and guests included:

Mohammed Abdul Azeez (慕哈德) — Founder and Chairman of Al-Hadi Taiwan Islamic Education & Cultural Association

Yaser Cheng (鄭泰祥) — Chairman of Taipei Grand Mosque

Dr. Dawood Abdulmalek Yahya Al Hidabi — Professor, Kulliyyah of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia

Syuan-Yuan Chiou (邱炫元)— Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, National Chengchi University

Chia-Jen Chu (朱佳仁)— Member of the Central and Local Experimental Education Review Boards and Founding Teacher of Yuanlai Academy Experimental Education

This discussion was held because Al-Hadi TIECC understands that building an Islamic school requires more than good intentions and passion. A strong commitment is important, but long-term success also requires professional knowledge, good leadership, and careful planning.

As an organization dedicated to serving the Muslim community in Taiwan, Al-Hadi TIECC believes that learning from experienced educators and experts is an important step toward building a strong foundation.

During the discussion, participants shared valuable ideas about educational values, school management, curriculum development, community involvement, and the opportunities and challenges of establishing an Islamic school in Taiwan.

Al-Hadi hopes that the ideas and advice shared during this forum will not remain only as discussions, but will become real actions that contribute to the future of Islamic education in Taiwan.

Building a school is not only about creating buildings or facilities. More importantly, it is about building people—educators, leaders, parents, and volunteers who are willing to dedicate themselves to nurturing the next generation.

Financial support is important, but money alone cannot build a successful educational institution. A strong school needs people who are committed and willing to contribute their knowledge, time, and effort for a shared mission.

Al-Hadi warmly invites everyone who shares this vision to join this journey. Whether through financial support, sharing professional skills, volunteering, or becoming a teacher at Al-Hadi, every contribution will help build a better future for the next generation of Muslims in Taiwan.

Together, we are not only building a school—we are building people who will continue the mission of Islamic education and carry it forward for generations to come.

Inspired by historical traces of early Muslim communities in Taiwan, this production explores themes of migration, identity, faith, and the responsibility of passing knowledge from one generation to the next.

Following the performance, this special sharing session reflects on the stories presented on stage and discusses why education plays a vital role in preserving values, identity, and future generations. It also introduces Al-Hadi's journey—from a small dream of establishing an Islamic kindergarten to the vision of building an Islamic boarding school in Taiwan.

Through history, reflection, and dialogue, we hope this conversation inspires us all to consider how every generation can contribute to building a better future.

🌊 Faith Across the Oceans
《台灣到了!》

Alhamdulillah, with the permission of Allah, Faith Across the Oceans has come to life on stage.

What began as a question about Taiwan’s forgotten Muslim history became a journey of discovery—one that reminded us that faith is not preserved by history alone, but through knowledge, education, and the commitment to pass it on from one generation to the next.

We are deeply grateful to every guest, volunteer, performer, teacher, parent, sponsor, and supporter who made this event possible. Your presence was not only an encouragement to our children, but also a meaningful contribution toward a greater mission.

All proceeds from this performance will support the development of Al-Hadi Islamic Educational Building, as we continue working toward our dream of establishing an Islamic boarding school in Taiwan, in shaa Allah.

May Allah accept every effort, reward everyone who contributed, and allow this event to become a source of lasting benefit for future generations.

Thank you for being part of this journey. 🤍
