About the Latino Foundation in Taiwan and its main projects
This is a project born thanks to the recent economic traits and investment between Taiwan and Latin America, which has increased the number of Latinos Residents in Taiwan. This speedy growth and the need to acclimatize in Taiwan, has been the reason why I created this Latino Community in 2013. Since then I have been offering free consulta
ncy and advice to all those new Latinos residents in Taiwan. Unfortunately, this huge community does not receive any financial support and therefore, I have created a couple of cultural events which are self – supported. We have become an independent community rich in culture and lots to offer the Taiwanese citizens, expats and anyone who is interested in learning about our 19 countries ‘culture. Luckily our colorful events, such as Latin Market and Latin American Food and Music Festival are highly accepted and well- liked by the our members, expats and local citizens in Taiwan. My goal is to use music, food, dance and any plastic artist expression as tool to promote social integration in Taiwan. We aim to provide the newcomers to TAIWAN emotional support, and guidance in our own Language. Cultural barriers are not learnt in one day, so we believe new Latinos in Taiwan need to have also a meeting center. Our mission
The Latino residents Foundation in Taiwan is a group of eager workers from Latin America and Spain. We meet during this cultural and social event in order to show and share with local Taiwanese and residents with other nationalities, that Latin America is a diverse continent, full of potentials; not only commercial, but also: it’s beautiful and extensive cultural diversity. Our aim is not commercial, but of course nothing is for free, therefore selling food from different countries and souvenirs, is our self-sufficiency survival key, as we do not receive any kind of subsidy. Despite this fact, nothing stops us in our aim of cultural awareness and day by day people are getting to know us, through our events island-wide. Although, we do not receive any subsidies from any government institution in Taiwan, we are not discouraged and we do not remain armed crossed either, we simply carry on.
「台灣拉丁裔居民基金會」是一群由來自拉丁美洲及西班牙的賣力工作者所組成，我們辦理了許多文化及社交相關活動，並讓台灣的在地居民及其他國籍的人士了解拉丁美洲是一個美麗且文化上相當多元的地方，充滿了發展上的潛力。
本基金會的主要目標不在營利，但因為我們並沒有接受任何官方的補助，在活動中我們會販售不同拉丁美洲國家及西班牙的食物及相關產品，以使基金會能自給自足。截至目前為止，無論遇到什麼難題，我們都盡力去克服，而絕不輕易放棄，以使更多人了解我們的
MAIN PROJECTS
我們是誰］ 「拉丁裔居民在台灣」是拉丁人在台灣組成的社群組織，發揚各拉丁文化及生活傳統。 ［我們做什麼］ 「若您在台灣遇到任何生活上的不適應、文化隔閡、或者溝通問題，我們提供免費的服務。我們也向家長提供子女雙語、多語教育的諮詢；並提供機會讓拉丁移民小型創業，並在本地市集中展示產品。同時，我們也透過每月的工作坊及聚會，鼓勵移民與本地居民的交流與合作。」
［拉丁市集是什麼］ 這是拉丁文化體驗活動，在此我們提供傳統食物及手工製品、傳統首飾、紀念品及各式產品。其中一些拉丁美洲國家會有獨立的攤位，向您介紹他們的國家、國旗及豐富的文化。今年，我們有幸邀請阿根廷、玻利維亞、哥倫比亞、智利、哥斯大黎加、瓜地馬拉、墨西哥、尼加拉瓜、巴拿馬、秘魯及委內瑞拉等國參與我們的盛宴。您將有機會學習西班牙文及體驗傳統遊戲。 ［給小朋友的西文時間］ Niños felices 是給在台拉丁小孩的西文課程，透過每週一次的 Niños felices，來自各國的小朋友可以齊聚一室，以寓教於樂的方式在玩樂中學習西文及拉丁文化。
