TEDxTaoyuan

TEDxTaoyuan Independently organized TED event in Taoyuan, Taiwan.

TED 於 1984 年創立於美國，為一非營利組織，其宗旨為 "Ideas Worth Spreading"。透過多元領域交流，串連各個好點子，溫和而扎實地改變世界。其每年於北美或其他地方舉辦大會，會中邀集各方專家、相關人士各以18分鐘為上限，發表明煉、極具啟發的TED Talk。

TEDx 為 TED 於 2009 年開啟的計畫，旨在讓全世界有心人士，接能申請開放式品牌授權，獨立策畫類 TED 大會。TEDx 多以城市、地區或大學為屬地，與 TED 之間透過 TEDx rules 規範，各地 TEDx 非 TED 於當地的分部或代表。

TEDxTaoyuan 核心團隊前身為 TEDxNCU(國立中央大學)，經歷三年努力，策畫過三場 Standard event 與數場 Salon。於 2016 年 3 月獲得 TED 總部核發執照，正式成立以桃園市為屬地的 TEDx event。

TEDxTaoyuan 將致力「挖掘在地好點子」、「導入國際視野」並「促進多元領域交流」。
