臺東縣是臺灣本島少數無兒童心智科專業醫療團隊進駐的縣市，地處偏遠交通不便，使得自閉症患者求醫困難，本會是由一群育有自閉症兒的家長共同創立，也更了解臺東這些孩子與家庭最需要的是什麼，而臺東縣均未曾設有自閉症的服務社團，使這些家庭求助無門，因此決定起身創辦本會，讓這些家庭走出來共同為我們的孩子開創未來。
