Founded in 1995, The Wenshan Review of Literature & Culture is a scholarly journal indexed in ESCI, EBSCO, and Scopus, and based in the English Department at National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan Founded in 1995, The Wenshan Review of Literature and Culture is a fully open access journal of interdisciplinary nature that explores Chinese-language and Western literary and cultural studies. I

t is a reputable journal based in Taiwan that offers a platform for scholars globally to engage in important discussions across a wide spectrum of research areas. Issued biannually (June and December) both in print and online versions, the journal is based in the Department of English at National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taipei, Taiwan. The main language medium is English but essays written in Chinese are also published. Based in different parts of the world, members of the editorial team and international advisory board cover almost all research areas of literary and cultural studies, and include distinguished and chair professors, outstanding and award-winning scholars, and elected Fellows of the British Academy, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Academia Europea, the Royal Society of Canada, and the Linnean Society of London. Research articles and book reviews are welcome and so are proposals for special issues. The Wenshan Review of Literature and Culture has been an affiliate member of Asian Journals Network (https://www.asianjournalsnetwork.net/) since 2021.

A full-time tenure-track position is available in the English Department at National Chengchi University (NCCU), one of the top universities in Taipei, Taiwan. Please see the job ad below (due on 23 January 2026). Teaching load 2/2!

The Department of English at NCCU invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or above. The position is scheduled to begin on 1 August 2026. The successful candidate will have a teaching load of 2/2.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. PhD in TESOL/Applied Linguistics/Literature.
2. A record of scholarly publications and professional experience.
3. The ability to teach both basic undergraduate English courses and graduate-level courses.
4. College teaching experience is preferred, but not strictly required.

Application Documents
Please prepare and submit the following documents:
1. Cover letter.
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
3. Photocopy of PhD diploma and proof of previous academic employment (if applicable).
4. Undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
5. Two letters of recommendation written within the last two years.
5. Copies of your PhD dissertation and all publications from the last five years.
6. Sample course syllabi (two courses).
7. Photocopy of ID/passport or ROC Alien Residence Certificate (optional).
8. A statement of interdisciplinary teaching and research experience (optional).

The Wenshan Review of Literature & Culture is pleased to announce that Professor John Michael Corrigan is taking over from Professor Min-hua Wu as the Editor-in-Chief of The Wenshan Review of Literature & Culture, effective as of August 1, 2025.

The Wenshan Review of Literature & Culture is deeply grateful to Professor Min-hua Wu for his leadership and hard work, and we are excited for Professor John Michael Corrigan to continue his success as the new Editor-in-Chief, and ensure that the journal continues to thrive.
