本會成立於 2009 年，主要宗旨為建構台灣完善之併購與私募股權投資環境，作為台灣民間、政府及國際間的溝通橋樑，積極推廣併購與私募股權投資觀念，每年定期發布併購與私募股權基金白皮書，積極向主管機關提出政策建言。
