2026 馬祖雙語夏令營活動：用英語把家鄉說給世界聽！

6月22日， #連江縣政府 與 #學術交流基金會（Fulbright Taiwan）在 #連江縣英語教學資源中心 的協助下，於仁愛國小熱鬧舉辦「2026 馬祖五年級雙語夏令營」，凝聚了來自四鄉五島的五年級學子共同參與！

這次營隊由馬祖在地與全台各地的美籍英語教學助理（ETF）、美籍教學顧問及在地教師攜手帶領。課程不從課本開始，而是從馬祖出發: 藍眼淚、魚麵、繼光餅都成了英文練習的主角，引導孩子們在自然情境中開口交流，並大膽站上台用英文介紹自己的家鄉。

🎒 營隊亮點花絮：
🤝 打破隔閡：孩子們打散班級，與新朋友一起設計隊旗、發想口號，在團隊競賽中建立革命情感。
💪 勇敢突破：有位孩子起初怯生生地說「我做不到」，在 ETF們溫柔耐心的陪伴練習下，最終勇敢站上舞台完成分享！
🌟 縣長勉勵： #連江縣縣長王忠銘 縣長也特別親臨現場，勉勵孩子們積極與國際連結、走出馬祖。

🛠️ 幕後的隱形推手： 這場營隊的成功，背後是馬祖 ETF們數月來的反覆籌備。面對種種挑戰、濃霧導致航班延誤等突發狀況，團隊用毛巾代替海綿、彈性調整備案，克服萬難才為孩子們打造出這段安心學習、充滿歡笑的難忘回憶。

特別感謝 #連江縣教育處、 #連江縣英語教學資源中心 及各合作學校師長的一路支持，也謝謝所有 Fulbright ETF、顧問與工作團隊的熱血投入。當孩子們願意用英文介紹家鄉、主動結交新朋友，這一天的回憶，將陪伴他們走向更寬廣的旅程！🌍

【2026 Matsu Bilingual Summer Camp: Sharing Our Hometown with the World in English! ✨】

On June 22, the Lienchiang County Government and Fulbright Taiwan, with the support of the Matsu English Teaching Resource Center, hosted the "2026 Matsu 5th Grade Bilingual Summer Camp" at Ren-Ai Elementary School, bringing together 5th graders from all across Matsu's four townships and five islands!

Led by local teachers alongside Fulbright English Teaching Flagships (ETFs) and advisors from across Taiwan, the camp swapped traditional textbooks for local culture. Matsu’s famous blue tears, fish noodles, and Jiguang biscuits became the stars of the English lessons, inspiring students to naturally chat in English and confidently present their hometowns on stage.

🎒 Camp Highlights:
🤝 Breaking the Ice: Students stepped out of their school comfort zones to design team flags, create slogans, and build wonderful new friendships.
💪 Finding Courage: One student initially hesitated, whispering, "I can't do it." With the patient guidance and encouragement of the ETFs, he eventually stood proud on stage and completed his presentation!
🌟 Inspirational Visit: Matsu County Magistrate Wang Chung-ming also dropped by to encourage the students to connect with the world and expand their horizons beyond Matsu.

🛠️ The Dedicated Team Behind the Scenes: This successful camp was the fruit of months of hard work by the Matsu ETFs. Navigating remote island logistics—like substituting towels for sponges when supplies were short and adapting schedules due to thick fog and flight delays—the team overcame every challenge to ensure a safe, fun, and joyful learning environment for the kids.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the Lienchiang County Department of Education, the Matsu English Teaching Resource Center, and all participating schools for their steadfast support. We also deeply appreciate our Fulbright ETFs, advisors, and staff for their incredible dedication. Seeing the children eagerly introduce their hometowns in English and make new friends is the greatest reward, and these memories will surely accompany them on their future journeys! 🌍

來自 #威斯康辛大學斯蒂芬斯角分校 UW-Stevens Point 的 Tobias Barske 助理院長，在結束兩週的 IEA 研習後表示，台灣高教的創新讓他得以「描繪出在美國脈絡下無法想像的教育藍圖」！

由於 Tobias 在校內負責培育未來的教師，此行最觸動他心弦的，便是親自走進台灣的小學，觀摩英語教師的示範教學。他的學校過去曾派學生參與相關計畫，也曾接待過 Fulbright FLTA（華語教學助理）；而這次親眼見證教學現場的實作，讓他回國後能更有自信、更具體地向校內師生與主管強力推薦台灣的交流機會！
