本次專題演講由顧問 Yichung 與 ETF Aleix 帶來啟發人心的「從雙語教室走向世界：在設計思考中連結文化、語言與故事」。在 11 位專業顧問（Advisors）及各區輔導員的全力協助下，本次論壇內容精彩充實，不僅包含創新的教學資源演示與海外培訓後課堂經驗分享，更在熱烈激盪的「世界咖啡館」分組討論中展開深度且具意義的合作交流，讓所有的參與老師們收穫滿滿！

✨ Highlights from the 2025-2026 Global Education Forum: Excellence in Teaching & Learning! ✨

5/23 local educators( English co teachers) from 16 sites across Taiwan gathered at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel for an incredible day of professional growth!

A major highlight was our inspiring Featured Speaker session, "From the Bilingual Classroom to the World: Connecting Culture, Language, and Stories in Design Thinking," presented by advisor Yichung and ETF Aleix. With the invaluable guidance of 11 expert advisors and all regional coordinators, the forum featured a rich and fulfilling program. It not only included dynamic teaching resource demonstrations and classroom experience sharing after overseas training, but also fostered deep, meaningful collaborative exchanges during the highly engaging World Café sessions, leaving all participating teachers with fruitful rewards!

A huge thank you to all the dedicated teachers, advisors, and coordinators who made this event a resounding success. Because of everyone's selfless sharing and dedication, the path forward for bilingual education in Taiwan is more resolute than ever! 💪📚

來自 #埃默里大學 Emory University 的 Laura Elizabeth Boudon 助理院長，在第一次的台灣行中深刻體驗到了這座島嶼的魅力，她笑稱自己已經徹底被台灣美食征服！

除了文化與飲食的洗禮，她更驚豔於台灣政府對高等教育及國際學生的強大資源支持。她特別提到，能協助台灣華語教師赴美教學的交流計畫，以及提供國際學生最高六個月在台研究資助的「TEEP 計畫」，都是回到校園後要大力向學生推廣的寶貴資源。

高中國際英語營- 歷史關鍵改寫 vs SEL 臺中壓軸登場

台積電如何崛起？學科能力測驗可以有哪些變化？如果首都不在臺北，臺灣又會變成什麼樣貌？

5月16日，學術交流基金會於臺中 中國醫藥大學 舉辦本學年度第四場「Bright Minds, Bright Futures 高中國際英語營隊」，來自各縣市近百位高中生與美籍英語教學助理齊聚一堂，透過全英語小組討論、觀點交流與邏輯思辨，從自我覺察到換位思考，探索臺灣歷史議題與可能性。

本次活動特別邀請 國立彰化師範大學翻譯研究所 翻譯研究所 張善貿教授擔任小組評審，學術交流基金會執行長也勉勵學生把説英文的恐懼，變成開口的樂趣，鼓勵學生將英語視為探索世界、拓展視野的工具。

學生們原本擔心自己的英語能力，但在美籍英語教學助理的引導與鼓勵下，更有自信地表達想法，也在與組員共同討論、製作海報與成果發表的過程中，提升英文能力，並成就一場難忘的學習體驗。

Discovering Alternative History ✍🏻High School Intenational Camps

How did TSMC rise to global prominence? How could Taiwan’s College Entrance Exam system evolve? What would Taiwan look like if the capital were not Taipei?

On May 16, the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange hosted the fourth “Bright Minds, Bright Futures” International English Camp at China Medical University in Taichung. Nearly 100 high school students from across Taiwan joined American English Teaching Assistants for a day of all-English group discussions, idea sharing, and critical thinking activities. Through conversations that encouraged both self-awareness and perspective-taking, students explored historical issues and future possibilities for Taiwan.

Professor Chang Shan-Mao from the Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation at NCUE was invited to be the group presentation judge. The Executive Director of the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange also encouraged students to “change the fear to fun”, reminding them to see English as a tool for getting more understanding of the world.

Students shared that although many initially felt uncertain about their English abilities, the guidance and encouragement from the American English Teaching Assistants helped them gain confidence in expressing their ideas. Through collaborating with teammates on discussions, poster creation, and presentations, students strengthened their English communication skills, and they also gained an unforgettable learning experience.

彰化古城時光機相遇 300 年的職人靈魂！

彰化是一座活著的博物館！這次由 #旅庫 (Luko) 帶領學術交流基金會 (Fulbright Taiwan) 的美籍英語助教 (ETA/ETF) 深入巷弄，展開「彰化百工日常：古城靈魂與手感時光之旅」。從小西街出發，在開化寺驚喜遇見保佑美貌的痘公痘婆，在友發中藥行親手抓配漢方草本，讓大家透過嗅覺與味覺，把傳承 40 年的療癒香氣裝進茶包帶回家。

最動人的體驗莫過於指尖傳來的溫度，與彰化職人品牌「踏印版圖」合作，讓
美籍英語助教 (ETA/ETF) 透過版畫拓印，親手復刻彰化古地圖的紋理。在一刷一壓之間，這座城市 300 年的工藝記憶躍然紙上。感謝 #旅庫 (Luko) 的深度導覽，讓這份結合傳統工藝與現代美學的作品，成為數一數二珍貴的彰化紀念。

Changhua Time Machine: When ETAs and ETFs Meet the 300-Year-Old Artisan Soul!

Changhua is truly a living museum! Led by , the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan) and their English Teaching Assistants/Flagships (ETA/ETF) dived into the "Artisans of the Old Town" cultural journey. Starting from Xiaoxi Street, we discovered the unique "Deity of Beauty" at Kaihua Temple and blended traditional herbal teas at You-Fa Traditional Chinese Medicine Store. This initiative allowed ETAs and ETFs to pack 40 years of healing scents into their own tea bags, experiencing the city's history through every sense.

The most touching moments happened at our fingertips. Partnering with the local artisan brand "Step-Print-Map," our ETA/ETF hand-pressed prints of ancient Changhua maps. Between each stroke and press, 300 years of craft memory came to life. Thanks to 's insightful guiding, these works—merging traditional craft with modern aesthetics—have become some of the most cherished souvenirs of Changhua.

營隊課程打破傳統教室的框架，在資深英語教學顧問的引導，以及 13 位活力四射的美籍英語協同教學助理（English Teaching Assistance）帶領下，孩子們全身心投入。無論是熱血的足壘球與足球、動感十足的舞蹈、專注平衡的瑜珈，還是節奏緊湊的籃球，大家在揮汗如雨的同時，也自然地大聲開口說英文！

Kindling Young Minds🌟: The Senéad and Laura English Camp - Carrying Forward Passion and Learning

2026 marks the third anniversary of the “Senéad and Laura English Camp.” On April 25th, Taipei Guting Elementary School was once again filled with children’s laughter! Thoughtfully organized by the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan), this commemorative camp not only honored two beloved late grantees, it also expanded their passion for education, empowering children’s growth with an enduring educational force.✨

Full of Energy: English × Sports ⚽🧘‍♀️

Breaking away from the traditional classroom, students immersed themselves in dynamic courses guided by seasoned English teaching consultants and led by 13 energetic English Teaching Assistants (ETA). From kickball and soccer to dance, yoga, and basketball, children sweated, played, and naturally spoke English with joy and confidence!

Grand Finale: Dodge Frisbee! 🥏🔥

The highlight of the day was the thrilling “Dodge Frisbee” competition! Students showcased teamwork and sportsmanship, with laughter and cheers echoing across the playground, creating an unforgettable and radiant ending to the day’s learning.

這是來自 #伊麗莎白市州立大學 Elizabeth City State University 的 Kim Venitta Scott 教授第一次踏上亞洲土地。

這趟旅程徹底顛覆了她的想像，台灣各大學高強度的國際化程度以及將「聯合國永續發展目標 (SDGs)」落實在校園每個角落的具體行動，讓她直呼美國校園也應該借鏡！她更深刻體會到，美國學生在考慮亞洲留學時若忽略了台灣，那將是一個巨大的錯誤。

雲林華山文化體驗

雲林學人5月15曰前往華山，參與一場在地文化特色的體驗活動，深入認識咖啡烘焙與藍染工藝兩項重要的地方文化。

雲林學人親自體驗從古坑咖啡豆烘焙到沖煮咖啡的過程，不僅品嚐到雲林在地咖啡的香醇風味，也更加了解在地農產品背後的用心與職人精神。藍染體驗課程中，老師帶領大家製作四種不同的傳統圖樣，包括菱形、魚鱗、海浪與雲朵圖騰。每一件作品都展現了藍染工藝的藝術美感與文化意涵。

除了手作體驗之外，雲林學人也看見華山社區如何善用在地資源，發展多元產業，提升地方農產與文化價值，同時保存社區特色與文化精神。此次活動不僅促進文化交流，也讓大家更加認識與欣賞雲林豐富的地方文化、人文工藝與社區能量。

Cultural Exploration in Huashan

The Yunlin grantees recently immersed themselves in local culture through hands-on coffee roasting and indigo dyeing workshops in Huashan.

● Craft Coffee: Grantees followed the journey of Gukeng coffee from bean to brew, gaining a deeper appreciation for the dedication and craftsmanship behind Yunlin's local agriculture.
● Indigo Dyeing: Guided by an instructor, participants created unique textile pieces using four traditional patterns: diamonds, fish scales, ocean waves, and clouds.
● Community Innovation: Beyond the crafts, the group witnessed how the Huashan community successfully transforms local resources into thriving cultural industries

跨越語言的守護 - 🧑‍🚒

為提升校園安全意識與緊急應變能力, 金門特別邀請美籍英語助教 (ETA/ETF)參與 CPR（心肺復甦術）與基本急救課程。大家學習了 CPR、AED 使用方式以及面對突發狀況時的應變技巧。雖然來自不同國家，但大家都很認真投入練習，也一起交流彼此的經驗與想法。

希望透過這次課程，讓美籍英語助教 (ETA/ETF)們在教學之外，也能具備守護學生安全的重要能力，一起打造更安心的校園環境！

Grantee Emergency Aid Training🧑‍🚒

To strengthen campus safety awareness and emergency response skills, English Teaching Assistants/Flagships (ETA/ETF) in Kinmen recently participated in a CPR and first aid training course. Through hands-on practice and professional instruction, English Teaching Assistants/Flagships (ETA/ETF) learned CPR skills, how to use an AED, and ways to respond during emergency situations.

Even though everyone comes from different countries and backgrounds, they all participated enthusiastically and shared their experiences with one another. We hope this training helps our ETA/ETF feel more confident and prepared to keep students safe while building a warmer and safer learning environment together.
