SALT Collectiv is a diverse community of volunteers uniting for the purpose of making a lasting imprint for the marginalized. Just as salt is used to add flavor and preserve, our actions can be the seasoning and support for the forgotten. It all starts with a small step to make a difference and be the salt of the earth.

We partnered with students from LIFT (Lycée International Français de Taipei), who prepared and distributed care packages to our unhoused neighbors at Taipei Main Station 📦

Seeing young people step up with such generosity, thoughtfulness, and heart reminds us that compassion has no age. The time, care, and effort they poured into each package truly means so much.

Thank you to the students for giving back and leading with kindness — your impact reaches further than you know ❤️

Nonviolent Communication Workshop | Hosted by Uncertain Pathfinders (UP) 🤝

We’re hosting a special workshop created just for SALT — designed to equip our volunteers with the tools to engage vulnerable communities (and one another) with respect, grace, and clear boundaries. You’ll learn how to navigate sensitive situations and protect your psychological well-being while serving on the ground.

🪪 All attendees will receive a certificate of completion from UP & SALT
✨ Open to all

非暴力溝通工作坊｜Uncertain Pathfinders (UP) 主辦 🤝

我們將舉辦一場專為 SALT 設計的工作坊，幫助志工在與脆弱社群（以及彼此）互動時，能以尊重、同理與清晰的界線來交流。你將學習如何在面對敏感情境時從容應對，同時保護自己的心理健康，在第一線服務時更有力量。

We gathered to honor and appreciate our incredible Core+ volunteer leaders who showed up consistently throughout the year. Because of your commitment, heart, and leadership, SALT Collectiv was able to grow, expand, and touch so many lives!

This appreciation night was a small reflection of our deep gratitude for the leaders who are stepping forward and growing with us. SALT Collectiv would not be possible without you 🤗

After the Covid pause, we finally relaunched our SALT Block program — and what a comeback it was!

Together with BMF Manufacturing and Lighthouse Ministry, 20 volunteers committed 9 hours of their time to serve 780 expat inmates, coming together to celebrate Christmas with connection, dignity, and genuine care.

Our goal is to extend love and dignity to incarcerated individuals — especially expats without family in Taiwan — by creating space for meaningful social interaction and companionship.

To our volunteers: thank you for showing up with open hearts, choosing to serve those often forgotten, and reminding everyone that love sees, values, and restores. This day wouldn’t have been possible without your generosity and compassion ❤️👐

在因疫情暫停多年後，我們終於重新啟動了 SALT Block 計畫——而這次的回歸，意義非凡！

我們與 BMF Manufacturing 及 Lighthouse Ministry 攜手合作，20 位志工投入 9 小時的時間，服務了 780 位外籍受刑人，一同以連結、尊嚴與真誠的關懷慶祝聖誕節。

我們的目標，是將愛與尊嚴帶給受刑中的個人——特別是那些在台灣沒有家人陪伴的外籍受刑人——透過創造有意義的社交互動與陪伴時刻。

致所有志工：謝謝你們敞開心胸，選擇服事那些常被忽略的人，並提醒我們愛能看見、珍惜並重建生命。沒有你們的慷慨與憐憫，這一天無法成就 ❤️👐

What We’re About

It all started with a couple of buddies wanting to reach out to the community, but not knowing how. 當初就是幾個朋友想要向弱勢族群伸出援手，但不知道怎麼開始。

Asking around, we got a contact for a local soup kitchen and just started going. 到處詢問，我們得到了一間愛心廚房的資訊，也就開始去了。

Turns out we weren’t alone. 後來發現其實有許多並心同力的夥伴。

We soon realized a similar passion among many with different backgrounds and beliefs who were interested in showing love. With more communities needing to be reached, we can finally show you how to take that first step... 陸續有更多不同背景跟信仰的人參與和更多需要被關懷的族群出現，現在我們可以教你怎麼踏出那第一步了...
