中華職業圍棋協會由職業棋士發起組成的協會
本會第一屆及第二屆理事長由友士公司董事長加藤惇一先生擔任
(2008.12.21~2012.12.28)
第三屆及第四屆理事長由矽品精密董事長林文伯先生擔任(2012.12.28~2017.03.22)
第五屆及第六屆理事長由富聚公司董事長何信仁先生擔任(2017.03.22~2021.03.03)
第七屆理事長由友士公司董事長加藤純子女士擔任(2021.03.03~

目前有102位台灣職業棋士加入本會
目前固定舉辦賽事為
友士杯十段賽(2022年舉行第12屆)
女子圍棋最強戰(2022年將要舉行第八屆)
環旭新人王賽(2022年將要舉行第七屆)
UMC杯快棋爭霸賽(2021年舉行第二屆)
