民國六十年代的時候，鐘錶業並沒有一個能統籌各項事務的組織，
因此各種惡性挖角、削價競爭，打亂了鐘錶業的秩序，所幸在業界
大老的四處奔走下，公會才由三十多家創始會員團結組織起來。方
於民國六十一年五月十二日，台灣區鐘錶工業同業公會正式成立。
