Khánh Vy was born in 2025 in Ba Vì, about 70km from Hanoi. From the 12th week of pregnancy, her mother learned she's a cleft baby during a check-up at the local hospital. Fortunately, a doctor there – also the parent of a child with cleft lip and palate – referred the family to Hanoi to meet Dr. Lan and participate in the 2026 Mission in Vietnam.

Despite having experience caring for her older child, the mother was still worried about accompanying a special baby like Vy. Her greatest hope was that after surgery, her daughter could eat more easily and grow up healthy.
Although they didn't share a language, through each interaction, mother and daughter felt the dedication and love from the medical team of Chang Gung, thus strengthening their confidence in the journey ahead.

For the mother, the greatest hope is that one day, Khánh Vy can be confident, integrate into society, and grow up with the strong personality she has shown since her early days.
