台灣物理學會（The Physical Society of Taiwan, TPS）與土耳其物理學會（Turkish Physical Society, TFD）正式簽署會員互惠協議（Agreement for Reciprocal Membership Privileges），攜手開啟雙方學術交流與合作的新篇章！

在此特別感謝 #陳凱風教授 的發起與促成，促成此次兩會的重要合作。此次協議的簽署，進一步深化台灣與土耳其物理學界的交流與連結。TPS 期待透過雙方合作，促進更多學術互動與研究交流，並為兩地物理學者創造更多相互交流及建立合作的機會。

🌏 TPS × Turkish Physical Society | A New Chapter of International Collaboration
​
The Physical Society of Taiwan (TPS) and the Turkish Physical Society (TFD) have officially signed an Agreement for Reciprocal Membership Privileges, marking a new chapter in academic exchange and collaboration between the two societies.
​
Special thanks to 'Prof. Kai-Feng Chen' for initiating and facilitating this partnership, making this milestone possible. This agreement further strengthens the connection between the physics communities of Taiwan and Türkiye. Through this partnership, TPS looks forward to fostering greater academic interaction and research exchange, while creating more opportunities for physicists from both communities to connect and collaborate.

We look forward to deepening the partnership between TPS and TFD, expanding international exchange, and contributing together to the global physics community.

Quantum Taiwan 2026 正式開放報名。
​
活動將於 11 月 10 日至 11 日在台北國際會議中心（TICC）舉行，
同時涵蓋國際研討會與量子供應鏈展兩大部分。
​
國際研討會匯集國內外量子領域學者專題演講，發表前沿研究成果，採付費報名制，名額有限。
​
本屆三位 Keynote 講者均為國際量子科學頂尖人物：
UC Berkeley 的 Prof. Irfan Siddiqi，量子測量與量子回饋控制領域的代表性人物；
MIT 的 Prof. Seth Lloyd，量子演算法與量子資訊理論的先驅之一；
以及法國 Quandela 的 Prof. Pascale Senellart，單光子光源技術的世界頂尖研究者、歐洲最具代表性的量子光子公司共同創辦人。

Registration for Quantum Taiwan 2026 is now open. The event will take place November 10–11 at TICC, Taipei, bringing together an International Symposium and a Quantum Supply Chain Exhibition.
​
The Symposium features keynote speeches and research presentations from international quantum researchers; registration is paid, with limited seats.
​
This year's keynote speakers represent the forefront of global quantum science: Prof. Irfan Siddiqi (UC Berkeley), a pioneer in quantum measurement and real-time observation of quantum systems; Prof. Seth Lloyd (MIT), who proposed the world's first technologically feasible design for a quantum computer; and Prof. Pascale Senellart (Quandela), a world-leading expert in single-photon sources and co-founder of one of Europe's most prominent quantum photonics companies.

The Exhibition is free and open to the public — pre-registration is recommended to help us plan for attendance.

科普講座｜不確定的宇宙：從古典物理到量子世界的思想革命

台灣物理學會於 8 月 29 日舉行「中技社物理傑出大學生獎」頒獎典禮，恭喜本屆獲獎同學！

「中技社物理傑出大學生獎」旨在鼓勵國內大專院校物理相關科系優秀學生投入物理研究，肯定同學們在學習與研究上的優異表現，也期盼透過獎項的鼓勵，支持年輕學子持續探索科學、勇敢追求自己的研究方向。

📝 【演講摘要】

Phase transitions are traditionally understood within Landau's framework of spontaneous symmetry breaking. The discovery of topological phases, however, has established a new paradigm in which quantum states are classified by the topology of their electronic wave functions. In this colloquium, I will introduce the basic concepts of topological band theory and discuss how first-principles calculations have guided the discovery of nonmagnetic and magnetic topological insulators. If time permits, I will conclude by presenting our recent work on orbital topology, highlighting a new topological perspective on the orbital Hall effect.
