On 28 May, MMM Chairman Wen Tao and Treasurer Lee Cheng Hoe accompanied Dr. Oh Ei Sun, former Political Secretary to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, on a visit to the Ching-Kuo Chi-Hai Cultural Park.
Through the visit, we gained a deeper understanding of the role played by Chiang Ching-kuo in Taiwan’s economic development, as well as his leadership style and daily life as reflected through the exhibition and historical space.
During lunch, our old friend Hsu Chih-Yuan also had the opportunity to exchange views with Dr. Oh regarding his ongoing research on second-generation migrant issues in Sabah. Dr. Oh expressed strong recognition of the research direction and encouraged young researchers to continue paying attention to generational, ethnic, and educational issues in Malaysian society.
It was not only a historical and cultural visit, but also a meaningful intergenerational exchange — one that allowed us to reflect on Taiwan’s experience and explore new possibilities for youth research and public issues in Malaysia.
5月28日，馬來西亞中庸運動（MMM）主席巫文滔與財政李政豪，陪同馬來西亞前首相政治秘書胡逸山博士，參訪經國七海文化園區。
透過這次參訪，我們更深入了解蔣經國先生在台灣經濟發展過程中所扮演的重要角色，也從園區展示與生活空間中，看見一位時代領導人的治理思維與日常樣貌。
午餐期間，我們的老朋友徐致遠同學也與胡博士交流，分享他目前在沙巴進行的新二代議題研究。胡博士對相關研究給予高度肯定，也鼓勵青年持續關注馬來西亞社會中的世代、族群與教育議題。
一次歷史參訪，一場跨世代交流，也讓我們從台灣經驗出發，思考馬來西亞青年與公共議題研究的更多可能。
