Dear Toastmasters Fellows and Friends,

We will have a joint meeting with KPMG Taiwan Toastmasters Club on Friday (10/2). The meeting theme is "Scary Movie." 👻🎬

Scary movies have a strange power over us. We know the ghost is not real, we know the monster cannot jump out of the screen… and yet we still cover our eyes, scream at the characters, and suddenly become very interested in turning on every light in the house. 😱

Some movies scare us with ghosts and monsters, while others stay in our minds because of their suspense, creepy atmosphere, or unexpected twists.

So in this meeting, think back to the movie that frightened you the most. What is the scariest movie you’ve ever watched? What made it so scary—and perhaps more importantly, how did you manage to sleep afterward? 👀

🎤 2026.09.04 Prestige x KPMG Toastmasters Meeting
Theme: AI Skills 🤖

Another great meeting tonight with three wonderful speakers: Aaron Wang, Vincent Mo, and Berry Hsieh! 👏

🦐 Aaron Wang shared his favorite pastime, “Shrimp Fishing,” and how it brings him peace by helping him enter a state of flow. Sometimes, the simplest hobbies can be the best way to slow down and recharge.

🧚 Vincent Mo from KPMG Toastmasters took us on a fun journey with the Tooth Fairy 🧚 and AI Fairy 🧚‍♀️! But behind the fairy tales was a deeper message: the most important part of the story isn’t the fairy—it’s ourselves.

👩‍💼 Berry Hsieh shared a personal experience about leadership and how a good leader can help a team member get back on track instead of simply giving up on them. A great reminder that leadership is not just about managing performance, but also about helping people grow.

A big thank you to our TME Forster Lin for coming up with such an interesting theme question and keeping everyone engaged! 🙌

🎤 Renault did a wonderful job as our General Evaluator (GE) tonight. Great work!

👏 And a special shout-out to Minda for taking a big step and serving as Language Evaluator for the first time! You did a great job—keep it up! 💪

Finally, great job to our VPM Bill Huang for delivering a wonderful closing while our President Naomi was away. 👏

Another evening of great speeches, thoughtful evaluations, and learning together!
