AFNOR Group celebrates an exceptional milestone: 100 years of commitment to trust, progress, and sustainable development.

AFNOR Group celebrated its 100th anniversary in Taiwan, bringing together business and institutional representatives to reflect on a century of quality, innovation and international cooperation.

AFNOR Group 在台灣舉辦100週年慶祝活動，邀集企業與機構代表齊聚一堂，共同回顧一個世紀以來在品質、創新與國際合作領域所累積的成果。



The celebration brought together key representatives, including Mr. Antoine Aubel, Head of the Economic Department at the French Office in Taipei; Ms. Myriam, President of AFNOR Asia; Dr. August, Vice President of AFNOR Asia, and Mr. Ganbold Bilguun, General Manager of AFNOR Mongolia, making the occasion with a shared focus on quality, trust and long-term international partnerships.

本次活動匯聚多位重要代表，包括法國在台協會經濟處處長 Antoine Aubel、AFNOR Asia 主席 Myriam、AFNOR Asia 副總裁 August，以及 AFNOR Mongolia 總經理 Ganbold Bilguun。與會嘉賓共同聚焦於品質、信任以及長期國際夥伴關係的重要性。

They’re playing in the 2026 ABSOLUTE 3x3 Finals on September 12–13, coming off back-to-back round wins in Taichung and Taipei.

We’d love to get some of the French Chamber Taiwan community together in the stands.
Beyond this championship, THE KNIGHTS are working to provide local players with more opportunities to compete at a higher level and to represent Taipei and Taiwan internationally.
But this weekend, the focus is on the court, starting with two games on Saturday.

[Chamber Event] Welcoming Frédéric Laplanche, the New Director of the French Office in Taipei

Our community is looking forward to welcoming Frédéric Laplanche, the new Director of the Bureau Français de Taipei - 法國在台協會 to the French Chamber Taiwan.

Mr Laplanche already knows Taiwan well. As the former Head of the European Economic and Trade Office (EU Office in Taiwan), he worked to strengthen economic relations between the European Union and Taiwan. His interest in the island also led him to write a historical book exploring Taiwan’s cultural and democratic heritage.

We are delighted to welcome him back in this new role and introduce him to our community! 🤝

Michel Bru becomes FBWS 昇達人力顧問

If you run a restaurant, you know the problem is rarely only the food work, but it is almost always recruitment.

Very often, the real challenge is what happens every day between the kitchen and the floor: hiring, training, repeating the same instructions, correcting mistakes, losing time, and starting again when someone leaves.

This is exactly the problem our member Michel Bru is now helping restaurants solve.

After 28 years in the kitchen, including 12 in Michelin-starred restaurants, and 9 years building and running his own food company in Taipei, which he has recently sold, Michel is starting a new chapter with FBWS 昇達人力顧問 as Chief Operations Officer and Head Chef.

His approach is practical. He and his team train both the kitchen and the service team, from HACCP to w**e service, but they do not stop at training.

They leave behind a working system.

SOPs, station cards, recipe sheets, checklists and service standards, adapted to each restaurant and visible to the team. So when the training is over, your organisation will keep the standard operating procedure, and you will be able to transfer it to new recruits. More importantly, when a key employee leaves, the know-how does not leave with them.

For independent restaurant owners, this can make a real difference: less time repeating, more consistency in service, and a team that understands how things should be done.
